Neil Morrice: UK Racing Tips – Sunday 30 June 2019

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Sunday’s racing at Uttoxeter, Cartmel and Windsor.

Uttoxeter Best Bets

Race 4: YOU SAY WHAT (13) (Each Way)
Trainer: David Pipe
Jockey: Tom Scudamore

The lightly-raced YOU SAY WHAT engages with some similarities in form foes in this featured Summer Cup and will start at a working man’s price, but don’t let that put you off. He’s been trained with this race in mind and hasn’t done a thing wrong, winning on his first start of the season and then going down by just a neck to Gardiners Hill over this course and distance in May. He’s a strong traveler that can front run, and should be competitive.

Race 7: APRES LE DELUGE (1)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison
Jockey: Jonathan Burke

With a first time tongue-tie, APRES LE DELUGE can demonstrate his appreciation for a step up in trip following a near miss at Southwell. There were some burned fingers after that defeat by Cardigan Bay but the form has been endorsed. Furthermore, his trainer is doing well with his small team of jumpers.

Cartmel Best Bets

Race 2: DINO VELVET (3) (Each Way)
Trainer: Alan King
Jockey: Adrian Heskin

In a red hot handicap, DINO VELVET can turn around Swindon Hurdle placings with Project Bluebook and John Constable. The 6yo is only now realising his potential and has looked a much-improved performer with some sterling efforts in defeat, including that length and a half defeat by Le Patriote at Haydock. He enjoys a considerable pull in the weights to make him of serious interest.

Race 3: THE JAM MAN (2)
Trainer: Ronan McNally
Jockey: Aidan Coleman

Irish raider THE JAM MAN was heavily backed and hacked up at Southwell last week, scoring without coming off the bridle. As that was a step up on his previous efforts it strongly suggests the 6yo is still on a handy mark, despite picking up a 7lb penalty for his troubles. This course and ground conditions look ideal for him to follow up.

Windsor Best Bets

Race 5: I’LLETYOUGONOW (7)
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Charles Bishop

This daughter of Bated Breath came from an impossible position in rear to trouble the judge on her reappearance at Nottingham and has thrived in the interim. She has a smart turn of foot that can stand her in good stead at the business end of this fillies’ handicap, which she can take on the way to better things.

Race 6: TIAR NO NOG (4)
Trainer: Denis Coakley
Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Course winning form can help enable TIAR NA NOG to make the necessary improvement to take this tricky handicap. She sneaked home by a short head in a Class 5 which didn’t do too much damage to her mark, and has the services of championship leader Murphy to further assist her claims.
