On this day, 31st March 2007, Anthony Delpech rode VENGEANCE OF RAIN to victory in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse on Dubai World Cup night. This Hong Kong gelding was trained by South African trainer David Ferraris, and was the first time a Hong Kong bred horse had won on Dubai World Cup night. Relive the race below.

Anthony Delpech is the horse racing brand ambassador for Hollywoodbets. He is a three-time South African Jockey Championship winner, and four-time winner of the Vodacom Durban July. He retired from racing in 2018.
