Tips Today - Tuesday - Horse Racing - Hollywoodbets

UK Racing best bets for Wednesday 6th August 2019 comes to you from Catterick, Newbury, Nottingham and from Ripon. See Neil Morrice’s best bets below, and get your bets on now with Hollywoodbets.

Catterick Best Bets

Race 2 – No 3 TADAANY
Trainer: Ruth Carr
Jockey: Joe Garrity

At first sight TADAANY has a mountain to climb breaking from the outside of this 15-runner field, but when there’s cut in the ground a high draw can in fact prove favourable. Inclement conditions could see this well treated sprinter return to winning ways as he drops back to the minimum trip.

Race 4 – No 5 SOPHIA MARIA
Trainer: James Bethell
Jockey: PJ McDonald

Just why SOPHIA MARIA hasn’t managed to endorse the promise of her first two career starts is a key question, as her last four efforts have left much to be desired. However, she’s wearing first time cheekpieces here and also appears to be well drawn with a top jockey booked to ride. Plenty of the others are also badly out of form, making her a risk worth taking.

Newbury Best Bets

Neil Morrice brings you his Best Bets for the turf action from Newbury on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.

Race 1 – No 9 GLEEDS GIRL
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: – Callum Shepherd

Channon has a poor strike-rate with his first time juveniles but GLEEDS GIRL can prove an exception to the rule in a race where many of the top trainers are represented. The daughter of Equiano has worked well with some reliable yardsticks at West Ilsley.

Race 2 – No 3 NEFARIOUS
Trainer: Henry Candy
Jockey: David Probert

Few horses more deserve to get their head in front than NEFARIOUS who can more than hold his own at this level both on grass and the all-weather. He made a valiant attempt to lead from gate to wire only to get mugged in the final stride at Kempton and is the type of individual with the consistency of a Swiss watch. He galloped out strongly in his final gallop for this.

Race 4 – No 7 SERIOUS JOCKIN
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Callum Shepherd

In the colours of his trainer, SERIOUS JOCKIN makes a belated entry to the fray but will hopefully prove worth waiting for. The Footstepsinthesand colt shows ability at home and if repeating on the track can be competetive in one of the weaker two-year-old maidens run here this season.

Nottingham Best Bet

Race 6 – No 5 SOCIETY GUEST
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Gerald Moses

Although her last couple of efforts have been disappointing, SOCIETY GUEST would enter the reckoning if able to rediscover her good form in maidens from earlier in the season. It should also benefit her moving up to a mile and a quarter with her veteran French pilot an eyecatching booking.

Ripon Best Bets

Race 2 – No 7 VINTAGE TIMES
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

Like so many of the juveniles from this stable, VINTAGE TIMES stepped up considerably from her debut to chase home Harry Love at Beverley, doing all his best work up the final hill after being switched and finding daylight. In receipt of 6lb from impressive course winner Cloudea she can open her account.
