PERTH

Race 1 – FOX’S FANCY 9/4

Lucinda Russell has enjoyed another good season numerically and FOX’S FANCY can atone for a near-miss last time out in the Hot To Trot Racing Goes North Mares’ “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle.

Time In The Sun fell among handicap hurdle company last start and was second at Wincanton in a prior outing so should be considered along with Queshi Bridge who holds each-way claims with two placings from past three outings.

Race 4 – MILO LISES 5/2

MILO LISES has been given a short freshen since a narrow success at Punchestown among maiden hurdle company.

Switching to handicaps gives the Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old a top chance in the Ak Bets Big Prices Big Limits Handicap Hurdle.

Rafferty’s Return won twice past three outings including a comfortable Newcastle success. In excellent order and may still be competitive off current mark.

Rambo T carries top weight. Racing against considerably tougher competition last few months with credit and better is expected.

Champagnesuperover holds each-way claims returning after a long lay-off.

Race 5 – SURE TOUCH 17/10

SURE TOUCH looks like Sean Bowen’s best chance of bagging a winner in the Phil Nelson River Tay Handicap Chase.

It is a really competitive five-runner field with top weight A Different Kind setting a good standard off a mark of 145, looking for a fifth win in a row for Donald McCain.

But Olly Murphy’s Sure Touch is seeking a hat-trick of his own following wins at Uttoxeter and Taunton.

The first win came on heavy ground and the latter on good, so he is obviously versatile in that regard and employed different tactics both days.

Cepage is down to his last winning mark and Willie Mullins runs Feu Du Bresil, but Sure Touch has plenty going for him.

Race 6 – SECRET TRIX 2/1

In the AK Bets Best Price Premier League Handicap Hurdle, Murphy and Bowen team up with SECRET TRIX who has been thoroughly consistent all year.

He has won four times and been second twice and seemingly does not know how to run a bad race.

Having won a class two last time out he is actually dropping in grade for this event and given that was his first run for five months, he may even come on a bit.

WARWICK

Race 1 – BECTIVE ABBEY 4/1

Nicky Henderson’s BECTIVE ABBEY was sent off a short price on his debut at Doncaster in a race won by a stablemate so he clearly did not give his true running.

The fact he has been off since December also suggests he did not return 100 per cent that day but he had clearly been showing up well at home and with the yard back among the winners, he is taken to come out on top in the first division of the Charlie Wilson Memorial Maiden Hurdle.

Race 4 – KINTAIL 3/1

KINTAIL is another Henderson runner coming back from a break in the Visit racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle.

The Seven Barrows handler should also be on the mark at Huntingdon where his Lady d’Arbanville holds strong claims in the Racing TV Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle.

She won a Plumpton bumper and was a fair second on her first outing over timber back in January.

Race 5 – HIDALGO DES BORDES 17/10

HIDALGO DES BORDES progressed hurdling form winning by 11 lengths on chasing debut at Exeter. Holds strong claims under a penalty.

Abaya Du Mathan is a prolific fences winner. Returns to the mark from which he won at Southwell in January and should be respected.

Tropical Talent struggled when hurdling but shaped with promise managing third on chasing debut at Newcastle in December. Chance if ready to go after a break.

Chasing newcomer Omaha Wish hinted potential in three hurdle starts and is open to plenty of improvement.

Race 6 – SAINT DAVY 4/1

SAINT DAVY won four of his first five outings. Well beaten from this mark in latest but conditions are likely to be more in his favour and holds claims.

The main danger comes from Take No Chances confirmed her stamina when beaten a nose by Zain Knights at Newbury last start. Zain Knights has found success again since.

Jupiter Allen kept on stoutly to secure victory tackling at Exeter. Subsequent rise in weights seems fair and could have more to offer up in trip.

Equinus looks to be in the grip of the handicapper. First-time visor might help.
