NARTJIE won a very good race in his last start over 1800m on this course. He raced from just off the pace and found a strong kick in the latter stages. The son of Vercingetorix should have no issues with the extra furlong on offer and can notch up his third career victory.

ARIZONA LADY has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She raced from a handy position last time, but found one too good in the form of Major Winter. The daughter of Visionaire looks to be a progressive type and with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle, she should be the one to beat.

EUPHORIANT ran a good race when finishing second over this distance on the Classic course last time. She should have finished closer that day as her pilot dropped his reins at the 150m mark. It must be noted that Veld Flower has come out and won again since. She has won once and finished second three times from as many starts over this distance. From pole position, she can go one better here.
