SAN ANDREAS showed good improvement in his last start over seven furlongs at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He lost a length at the start that day, but stayed on well at the finish. The son of Vercingetorix drops in trip and gets the blinkers fitted for the first time. The headgear should keep his mind on the task at hand. If jumping on terms, he may be the one to beat.

BINGWA cost himself winning last time as he jumped a patch at the 300m mark. It is encouraging that Callan Murray keeps faith in the ride and it is his only mount on the day. The son of Pathfork doesn’t meet the strongest field here and should take a power of beating.
Race 6: PALACE GREEN (4)

PALACE GREEN is one of the better bets on this afternoon’s card. The son of Twice Over has finished second in his last three starts over this C&D. It must be noted that the form line of his last race has been franked. He jumps from a wide draw today, but he gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

HEAR THE TRUMPET is the value bet on today’s card. She is a much better horse over today’s distance. She finished 1.6 lengths behind PHILLYDELPHIA in her penultimate effort and is 2kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. If putting her best foot forward, she should be the one to beat.
