She represents a red-hot yard and is favourably drawn.

QUININE was unfancied when she made steady progress for 5th on debut over this c & d recently. She met a strong field that day and would have come on appreciably from the experience.

The lack of pace makes this handicap an intriguing one and that will play right into the hands of the Mike de Kock entrant, NAVARRO. This bay has certainly turned the corner since being gelded and he built on his promising comeback run when smashing a competitive field in an apprentice handicap over this distance two weeks ago. He picked up a big seven pound penalty for his exertions but was having his second comeback run in quick succession, indicating that he has much more to offer. The son of Silvano should give a really good account of himself.
Race 8: THE THINKER(3)
THE THINKER is unbeaten over five furlongs and he bounced back to form with an impressive comeback victory over this trip recently. He got the better of ALL NIGHT FLIGHT that day and has plenty of scope for further progress. The Visionaire gelding will be fitter now and he can confirm the formline despite being 2kgs worse off with the runner-up. He is his yard’s only entrant on the day.

RYDER still has to prove that he is effective down the straight but he certainly caught the eye with a strong late burst for 3rd behind a smart sort over a similar trip on yielding ground recently. That was his best effort in a long time and quite surprisingly, he didn’t incur a penalty. The bay gelding is unfavourably drawn but is well-handicapped and should still produce another decent performance.
