Race 6: LUNAR TUNES (7)
Race 7: THIRD RUNWAY (3)

Race 1: HARDEKOLE (9)

Jockey: Byleveld M – Trainer: Marshall V

HARDEKOLE produced a promising debut effort when having to overcome the widest draw over this C&D. He raced green that day, but the manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye. The son of Act Of War would have come on from the run and from his midfield barrier position, he should be the one to beat.

Race 3: FIRE FOR SURE (6)
Jockey: Domeyer A – Trainer: Nel W

FIRE FOR SURE has run two decent races to date. The manner in which he races suggests that he will be at home over today’s distance. The son of Querari looks progressive and with Aldo Domeyer retaining the ride, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Race 6: LUNAR TUNES (7)
Jockey: Khathi R – Trainer: Robinson M

LUNAR TUNES showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this distance at Kenilworth. She raced from a handy position that day, but was caught in the shadow of the post. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. She is having her peak run today and should find herself in the winner’s box.

TOP BET FOR TODAY
Race 7: THIRD RUNWAY (3)
Jockey: V.Niekerk G – Trainer: Kotzen G

THIRD RUNWAY ran a good race when finishing second in the Champagne Stakes behind World Radar last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is unbeaten from two starts over this distance and in the wet going. She is the best weighted runner in this contest and should take a power of beating.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY

Race 8: WINDSOR BEAT (5)

Jockey: Zackey C – Trainer: Marcus A
WINDSOR BEAT showed signs of needing her last two starts and had excuses in both outings. The run that catches the eye is when finishing second on this course over 1250m, three runs ago. The manner in which she races suggests that she will enjoy the rise to the seven furlongs. She should be cherry- ripe today and with a bit of luck in running, she should be the one to cause the upset.
