COVE FORT has been fancied in the betting in both of his runs to date and has not finished too far off the winner. He lost 2L in his latest start and was staying on at the finish which would suggest that he will enjoy the slight rise in distance here.

LARRY JACK ran on really strongly in his last start over the c&d and a reproduction of that effort would make him a hard horse to beat. He did finish nearly four lengths behind TWICE A POET in his penultimate run, but is 3.5kgs better off at the weights. That should bring them closer together, with the former getting the nod based on his last effort.

BARBARELLA NIGHTS has a tricky draw to overcome, but he was running on strongly in his last start over the c&d and with a bit of luck in running, he should be right up there in the mix. He did cast a shoe in his penultimate run.

LADYSMITH seldom finishes too far off and her last start over slightly further was encouraging. She does have a tricky draw to overcome, but she should be picking off the front runners in the closing stages of the race.

OMAHA TRIBE was slow into stride, but ran on strongly to just fail to overhaul the front two in the closing stages. He seems to have struck up a good relationship with his jockey and the pair should be involved in the finish here.
