Winning Form Best Bets

Race 2: HONEST PRINCE(10)
Race 3: RAES’ DYNA JET(1)
Race 4: ROY IS SECOND(2)
Race 7: NATAL(2)

Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 2: HONEST PRINCE(10)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH – Trainer: Alyson WRIGHT

There isn’t too much speed in this seven furlong maiden contest where top jockey Delpech could again display his great versatility as he partners the lightly raced HONEST PRINCE who is the first choice. The Kildonan colt made smart improvement when he ran on nicely late to finish just out of the money over this distance on the grass, second time out. He didn’t feature on this track on debut but clearly prefers this evening’s distance and he has decent scope for progress. He is well drawn and could dictate terms in a likely slow run affair.

TOP BET
Race 3: STOLA(9)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Dennis BOSCH

STOLA proved no match for the winner when she finished runner-up in yielding conditions on her grass debut second time out. However, she had an eye-catching debut outing over seven furlongs on this track prior to that and clearly has more to offer. The daughter of Var gets the expert services of top jockey Marcus and she is drawn best of all.

Race 5: THE MONEY MAN(4)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Craig EUDEY

The male equivalent of the prior low-key handicap could also be run at a sedate pace and here top jockey Marcus is expected to take the initiative on his mount THE MONEY MAN. The four-year-old bay gelding has the credentials after a string of useful performances ranging from a mile to ten furlongs and he is overdue his second career victory. He stayed on well for 3rd in another slow run affair but over 2000m recently and the 7th placed finisher, his stablemate Night Lock boosted that formline with a subsequent upset victory.

Race 8: SEEK THE SUMMIT(2)

Jockey: Sherman BROWN – Trainer: Dennis BOSCH

SEEK THE SUMMIT is in good form and the slow start just cost her when she finished strongly for a close 2nd behind the speedy LA GITANO (1kg worse off) over this c & d last month. Her visiting jockey retains the ride on the bay filly who can reverse the form, particularly if jumping on terms. The latter has the speed to overcome her deep barrier on her hat-trick attempt but she may find it much tougher after the resultant three pound penalty. Her stable is in great form though and she must be included for minor money.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY

Race 1: KUTLWANOSLOVE(2)

Jockey: Sherman BROWN – Trainer: Dennis BOSCH

KUTLWANOSLOVE’s last run proved that she is ineffective on the grass but she will be a different proposition on her return to the polytrack this evening. She had two fine efforts here in six outings, the latest when staying on for 3rd over seven furlongs in her penultimate run. The runner-up Earhart and 6th placed finisher Ideal Duel boosted the formline with subsequent victories and this three-year-old bay filly should go well here. She has the pace to cope with this slight drop in distance.
