She has nearly three lengths to find with her conqueror FIORELLA but the Drier inmate will be an entirely different proposition from a good draw on her peak showing. Of course she stamped her class when finishing runner-up, 1.50 lengths behind the brilliant OH SUSANNA in the Grade 1 Paddock Stakes earlier this year.

The pace should be strong in this high profile Grade 1 contest where the Cape visitors are heavily favoured. WHITE RIVER will be cherry-ripe in his third outing in the province and interestingly, the Cape Guineas runner-up was gelded a mere two days after he ran on late to finish just under three lengths adrift of super-impressive local Guineas winner DO IT AGAIN four weeks ago.

Admittedly, the latter won’t enjoy a 4kgs apprentice allowance today but she will be cherry-ripe and her top heavyweight jockey should get the best out of the chestnut daughter of Visionaire who has drawn in midfield.

The three-year old son of Gimmethegreenlight’s only victory came on this course. The latter was full of running in that recent triumph which came at a cost of a six pound penalty but he can raise his game in this higher company on his peak showing.
