The juvenile gelding BLACK INDY is improving and he stayed on smartly for 3rd over this c & d in open company three weeks ago. Admittedly, he gave the impression that he will prefer more ground but the son of Marchfield would have come on further from that outing and he should be highly competitive here. Of course the runner-up Grand Silvano managed 3rd in his subsequent start.

The collateral form and weight turnover heavily favours the ultra-consistent distance specialist SPECTRA FORCE who deserves his second career triumph. The three-year old bay gelding has certainly improved since being equipped with blinkers in his last three outings. He holds HOTEL CIPRIANI safe on their latest clash over this track & trip but the latter may have needed the run and he had some useful prior form.
