HAPPY JAI JAI is nicely weighted with apprentice Chung aboard. He is better than his below par last effort and it will be no surprise to see him return to best form. BEAUTY NOVA finished runner-up over this C&D in his penultimate start. He reunites with Zac Purton who is oozing confidence having recorded three wins at Sha Tin on Monday.

13:15 – Race 2 | Class 2 | 1000m              

Selections: 4/2/5

WHIZZ KID was beaten a couple of lengths by the course and distance record holder STOLTZ last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough to turn the tables on his recent conqueror. CARROLL STREET produced a good last run and he could be one to fill the trifecta spot.

13:45 – Race 3 | Class 5 | 1200m

Selections: 1/3/8

HAPPY GATHERING and JACK WIN were only separated by a length last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much between them in the run down to the line. JAZZ STEED produced a good last run on the All Weather. He hasn’t won this year but has the form to run into the placings.

14:15 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 2200m

Selections: 3/7/6

The Tony Millard trained SUPER HONG KONG has good recent form lines to his credit. He went off as favorite last time and the form of his penultimate run over this distance is appealing. The grey HAPPY ANGEL has been beaten a neck in his last two starts and is a massive danger. NICE BIRDIE moved up with intent last time. He steps up in trip and may enjoy the extra ground on offer.

14:45 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1650m

TO INFINITY runs well for Derek Leung. He was beaten just over a length by Management Folks in his last start and it will be interesting to see if the form line is done any favors in Race 4. The Doug Whyte trained BEAU GOSSE was beaten the narrowest of margins last time. He has cracked an inside draw and will be looking to make amends.

15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1000m

Selections: 1/6/9

G ONE EXCELLENT is the class-package in the race. He meets the right field and is capable of finding a form return. SERGEANT PEPPER enjoyed the drop back to 1000m in his last start and has claims on his run behind the top selection in March. PLENTIFUL showed some improvement last time. He is well-drawn and could be one to cause an upset.

15:45 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1200m

MELBOURNE HALL finished positively when beaten 2.2 lengths by The Runner. He shoulders a handy galloping weight of 54.5kgs courtesy of the apprentice allowance and looks a lively contender in this line-up. ISLAND SURPRISE is likely to dictate matters in-front and if allowed a soft lead, will be difficult to peg back in the closing stages.

16:15 – Race 8 | Class 4 | 1200m

JOYFUL HUNTER raced wide into the straight on debut and despite hanging inwards, drew off impressively to win going away. He is a progressive sort and can make it quick back-to-back wins. EXUBERANT was beaten just over a length by COLONEL in his last start. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and should give a good account of himself from pole position.

16:50 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1200m

Selections: 2/6/1

MAJESTIC KNIGHT set a good pace in his run before the break and was caught late by LUCKY EIGHT. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and if returning fit definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. REWARD SMILE has found one better in both runs on this course and must also be strongly considered in the lucky last!
