Race 4: LORD MARSHAL (1)
Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: WANGAN MIDNIGHT (4)

Jockey: C Maujean – Trainer: T Laing

WANGAN MIDNIGHT has produced two solid efforts over this c&d. The son of Querari stayed on well last time despite casting a shoe in the running. If all goes according to plan, he should shed his maiden tag at just the third time of asking.
Race 5: SEVILLE (6)
Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greef

SEVILLE’S last two runs on the polytrack have been good. He was running on well at the finish in both starts and finished 1.25 lengths behind Clifton Crusher on both occasions. His wide draw is no concern as he likes to be switched off early and made to turn it on up the straight. It is encouraging that Greg Cheyne is back in the saddle this afternoon and the pair could find themselves in the winners enclosure.

TOP BET
Race 7: LUNA WISH (1)

Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greef

LUNA WISH had excuses around the bend in her last start, but ran on well to finish second in the Aloe Handicap. The daughter of Querari is unbeaten from three starts over this c&d and from her mid-field barrier position, she may be able to keep that record intact.

Race 8: VARSITY BOURBON (4)

Jockey: L Mxothwa – Trainer: G Paddock

The narrow first choice goes to VARSITY BOURBON from the Grant Paddock stable. The gelding just held on to win his last start despite the saddle slipping. He is unbeaten over this c&d and can keep that record intact.
VALUE BET
Race 6: SEATTLE TANGO (8)
Jockey: C Maujean – Trainer: T Laing

SEATTLE TANGO made a promising debut on this course over the six furlongs when finishing 3 lengths off World Radar. That was in mixed company and she was running on well at the finish. Her record over this distance is encouraging with a win, a second and two third-place finishes from eight attempts.
