Race 1
SCICONIC last two runs have been solid and he was only denied victory by less than a length last time out over 2100M in soft underfoot conditions. He attracted betting support that day and he will be looking to make amends here. ECHO LAD steps up in trip today, but if suited to the extra ground, he should challenge the former. His form in the wet is good. THINK STRAIGHT was not too far back last time out over ten furlongs and may well be looking for this greater test of stamina. CAJETAN’S last effort over ten furlongs was encouraging and his cause will be help by having 2kg taken off this back thanks to his claiming apprentice.

Race 2
DREAMING OF GOLD has finished second in her last three starts and will be hoping to go one better today. From her handy draw, she looks to be the one that they all have to beat here. The scratching of one of her main rivals should make things easier for her. PRINCESS ARIANA showed the expected improvement second time out over five furlongs and may now be the biggest threat to the former. NATANYA was not too far back last time out over 1300M when returning from a 20-week break and should be involved in the finish today. FLYING COSMOS has had plenty of chances, but still looks the best of the balance of the field.

Race 3
FROM THE HIP returns from a 27-week break, but he won both of his barrier trials to prove his fitness. A repeat of his penultimate effort over this c&d would make him a big runner here. STOOGE returns from a 6-week break during which time he was gelded. He has consistent formlines to his credit and did finish fourth last time out over 1100M in heavy going. DRAGON’S BEAUTY is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she put in a creditable effort last time out over this trip and should make her presence felt here. JOKES is also a 3yr old filly who returns from a 24-week break. She is a speedy sort who seems certain to appreciate the drop in trip.

Race 4
A filly/mare may be able to complete the exacta in this contest. ANY WISH is a 4yr old filly who improved last time out when stepping up to a mile. She just failed to kick on over the closing stages and will certainly enjoy the drop in distance here. BROADLEA is the 5yr old mare taken to chase the former home. She finished third last time out over this trip in heavy going and a repeat of that effort would see her be right up there in the mix. LIAM’S THE BOSS drops back to the 1500M, the distance over which he finished second in his penultimate start. He should certainly test the top two selections. THE BOROUGH is drawn the widest of them all, but on the plus side, he will get 2kgs removed from his allocated weight thanks to his claiming apprentice.

Race 5
PRIDE OF ADELAIDE missed out on his hat-trick when stepping up to ten furlongs last time out. He drops back to a mile, over which distance he completed his double. He may be too strong for this field. FILL OF FUN is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She won her maiden race last time out over this trip and although taking on stronger here, she should be respected. Pole position is a plus. TRUST THE PROCESS disappointed last time out in a feature race over 1500M, but he won over this distance three runs back and should be considered in this line-up. LA GRISA is a 4yr old filly who made good late progress last time out over seven furlongs. She has a wide draw to negotiate, but she should be doing her best work late.

Race 6
AYTOBE won his maiden last time out over this six-furlong trip and will jump from a mid-field draw. He takes on stronger today, but he gives the impression that he has more to offer. MO’S CROWN finished close up in his last start over this distance and could pose the biggest threat to the top choice. JOY AND MIRTH is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she just failed to convert her hat-trick last time out over 1100M. She steps up in trip and has a wide draw to overcome, but she should give the males a good run for their money. HILDALGO improved in his last outing over seven furlongs and drops back to sprinting. He has a wide draw but should use his early gate speed to get across without burning up too much energy.

Race 7
The six scratchings in this race has open up the contest and will benefit those selections who have wide draws to contend with. CITY OF LOVE is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she will now jump from gate seven and will also appreciate the extra ground on offer today after staying on well last time out over six furlongs in soft underfoot conditions. BIG BAD BRUCE has consistent formlines to his credit and is another who’s draw has been improved with the scratchings. He should be a factor in this race. NAVY CROSS returns from a 23-week break but has had the two barrier trials. He drops in trip, but did win two on the bounce over a mile prior to that last outing and should be right up there in the firing line today. OPINIONS is yet another runner that will be assisted with his new draw as a result of the scratchings. He takes a drop-down to seven furlongs after posting three solid efforts over a mile. He should be considered for all bets.
