Race 5.
MISS TENTHOUSAND has only had the three outings and has finished second in them all. These have been over a variety of different distances, the latest being over a mile. She drops in distance today, but did take on seven furlongs in her penultimate run, so this should not be an issue. She jumps from draw six and is taken as the best bet on today’s program. AJAY’S ACE is drawn one outside the former and has also only had the three outings. She finished second last time out over seven furlongs and looks to be the biggest danger to the top pick. LIVING ON was a little disappointing last time out over 1300M and is drawn wide out at gate thirteen, but she is likely to be doing her best work late and should be considered here.

Race 6.
This looks to be an open F&M handicap with a number of runners in with big chances. IT’S A RAH followed up her penultimate win over five furlongs with a fifth-place finish over the same distance. She starts from gate six and should be staying on over the closing stages. THE OLD BIRD showed marked improvement last time out when fourth over five furlongs. She was making good late progress that day and should enjoy going over the extra ground. MADLENKA is a speedy sort who did not appear to enjoy the heavy going last time out and could do better on this surface. QUILLER’S DELIGHT has only had the one run to date. She has a handy draw and would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she could make her presence felt in this line-up.

Race 7.
This looks a tricky contest and some caution is advised. The tentative selection goes to SWANKY CAT who won going away last time out over 1100m and on that effort, the extra trip should not be a problem. NINE CLOUDS won last time out when stepping up to 1100m. He won from jump to wire that day and may prove difficult to reel in over the latter stages of the race. YANKEE TOFF has his peak run here and has made gradual improvement in his last two outings. If he can continue down that same path, he should be involved in the finish today. BANKSY STRIKES was a tad disappointing last time out when going seven furlongs, but was a close up third in his penultimate run over six furlongs and should be right up there in the mix.

Race 8.
KAMO had his consistency rewarded with his maiden victory last time out over six furlongs. He takes a step up in distance and has gate eleven to deal with, but he nevertheless should put in another honest performance here and is taken as the value in the race. BATTLE MASTER is seldom far off the action and finished third in his last start over seven furlongs. He has a very wide draw of seventeen to overcome, but he should be picking off the frontrunners over the closing stages of the contest. HEDLEY’S LADY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she won her penultimate outing over this distance and then finish just three lengths back next time out over the same trip. She jumps from a much kinder five draw and should be respected today.

Race 9.
LICK BACK showed good improvement to win his last start over seven furlongs and should have little issue with going the extra ground here. He gets to start from gate six and should be right up there when they hit the line. AMERICAN FLYER is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she finished second in her last outing over this c&d when friendless in the betting markets. She will have to deal with an eleven draw, but she should give the boys a good run for their money. BETTY OF GRABLE is a 4yr old filly who was making good late progress last time out when fifth over seven furlongs. On that effort, she should appreciate the extra ground on offer here.

Race 4.
UNDERBOSS is seldom far off the action and finished third last time out over seven furlongs when friendless in the betting markets. He gets to jump from a mid-field draw and could prove hard to topple here. MEXICAN STANDOFF has shown good improvement in his last two runs, the latest being over a mile where he was staying on well in the closing stages. He has a handy four draw and could represent the biggest threat to the top choice. RAINBOW MAN finished fourth over a mile last time out and looks to be the best of the balance.

Race 5.
Two 3yr old fillies could dominate the finish to this race and complete the exacta. The narrow top pick goes to ESPRESSINO who has only had the two runs to date, but showed the expected improvement to win at the second time of asking. She returns from a 26 week break, but has put in two solid barrier trials, winning her latest. Her ten out of eleven draw is a bit of a concern, but she should be right up there when they reach the wire. HONEY ELYSEES showed solid improvement in her last outing when finishing second over five furlongs, just 0.8L back. She has however pulled the widest draw of them all, but nevertheless, she should be involved in the finish today. ATKINSON is a 2yr colt taking on older horses, but he has only had the two runs to date, winning over five furlongs on debut and following that up with a third-place finish over the same distance next time out. He jumps from a far better draw of six and is likely to threaten the top two selections. SHADOW BRIDGE jumped awkwardly last time out and never quite got going after that and finished 4.5L off the winner. If getting away as he should today, he be should be respected.

Race 6.
SALSA MAN finished third last time out over a mile, just 2.7L behind the victor, but he did battle to get a run that day and only really got going over the final 130M. With better luck in running today, he could prove to be the value in the race, despite having a wideish eight draw. DEEPWOOD VALE is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she was making good late progress when finishing second over this trip in her last outing. She is sure to give the boys a good run for their money. THINK STRAIGHT was stuck out wide in his last run over the mile and did well to finish as close to the winner as he did. He did end up third in his penultimate start over the same distance and should be included in all bets.

Race 7.
Three 3yr old fillies could finish in the top four positions in this contest, with the top choice going to HYANNIS PORT. She has consistent formlines to her credit and has finished second in her last two starts, the latest over this distance, when one length behind the winner. She has a mid-field draw of seven and should be right up there in the firing line. AL SNIP disappointed when dropping to 1100M last time out, but seems better over this trip. She is drawn on outside the former and has won once and finish third four times in her five starts to date. She is sure to turn in another honest performance here. AWESOME LAD has only had the two runs, but he won over the six furlongs on debut. He had to be eased in the latter stages of his next outing when finishing seventh, 4.6L behind the winner. He should be given another chance today and could be the first male home. EXPRESS PRINCESS has her first run after a 18-week rest, but has had the benefit of two barrier trials. She should not be easily discounted in this line-up.

Race 7.
ALL EEZ was a little disappointing last time out when 4.6L back over six furlongs, but won his penultimate start over this c&d. He gets to jump from a handy gate two and will have 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. THE BAKER had not finished too far back in his two runs prior to his last start over six furlongs and a repeat of this effort three runs back over the c&d would make him a big threat to the top choice. JACK LANCASTER has cracked pole position and finished third in his last outing over 1300M. The drop in distance is sure to be to his liking. BAT A KAT returns from a lengthy 80 week break from the race track, but has had the benefit of two barrier trials. He has his first run for his new trainer and if fully settled into his new surroundings, he could be a danger in this field.

Race 8.
KINGS COUNTY ran on strongly to win his last start over seven furlongs. He put nearly three lengths between himself and the opposition that day and despite have to jump from gate eleven, he should be right up there when they hit the line. QUIDNI has consistent formlines to his credit and just failed to chase down the leaders when third last time out over 1500M. He was only 1.1L back that day and from draw two, he should be considered a big runner here. CINNAMON MISSILE showed plenty of determination when holding off the chasing back to record a head victory over six furlongs last time out. He is drawn wide out at twelve, but given his style of racing, this may not be too big an issue. LITTLE HUNTER drops down in distance from his last outing over a mile where he finished third and could do better as a result.

Race 9.
ABSOLUT ARTIE showed good improvement when winning his last start over 1500M. he led from the jump that day and was still nearly two lengths to the good when they reached the wire. He may prove hard to overhaul in the closing stages of this contest and is taken as the top bet on today’s card. ESCHIELE missed out on his hat-trick when finishing a half length second last time out over seven furlongs. he finished well that day, suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to his liking. From gate three, he could be the biggest danger to the former. FASTNET FLYER was making good late progress when finishing second in his latest outing over 1300M and seems likely to enjoy going the extra trip. He is sure to put his pole position to good use.

Race 10.
NOT LIABLE made solid improvement when narrowly failing to chase down the leaders when third last time out over five furlongs. A repeat of that effort could see him landing up in the winner’s box, even though he has a wideish draw of eight. LISTEN MATE is drawn one inside the top selection and did finish fourth last time out over this distance, that after winning his penultimate start over 1100M. He should be involved in the finish today. CINCO STAR was hampered at the start of his last outing over six furlongs, but still managed to finish second. He has the widest draw of them all, but he should be picking off the frontrunners in the latter stages of this contest and should be included in all bets.
