The above-average three-year old BILLY SILVER wasn’t disgraced in his comeback run in open company seven days ago and he will be fitter now. The bay colt seems best suited to racing up the straight for now and of course he thrashed his rivals in his only two efforts on this track. The son of Silvano should quickly bounce back to best here.

RIO DE LA PLATA was given a brilliant ride when he got up to land the gamble over a similar trip at a lesser level recently. He was expectedly given the minimum two pound penalty but there was certainly merit in that performance as the five-year old endured a bump at the off and he could still be well handicapped today. The son of Windrush won’t be phased by a likely sedate gallop due to the absence of a natural frontrunner and as his run on 07/06 shows, he is clearly capable with frontrunning tactics.
