TOMMY GRAND has expectedly returned to form with the removal of blinkers and he beat subsequent winners Itdawnedo- nme and Cat’s Legacy with a bit to spare over the mile in the capital recently yet clearly escaped with the minimum two pound penalty. The Fort Wood gelding has no issue with this extra distance and he appears best handicapped here.

The locally based above-average three-year old ARIANOS SHADOW showed smart potential last term and though she lost her 100% record in a feature, she stayed on well for 2nd despite racing wide over this c & d.

The daughter of Oratorio displayed smart recent sprint potential in her home province and her last start indicated that she should enjoy this extra furlong. Of course she tries the turn for the first time today but is well drawn.
