The South African bred APEX TOP has decent form lines to his credit. He has cracked an inside draw and this chestnut should be one of the leading contenders. NOBLE STEED was beaten by a progressive individual in his last start. It must be noted that Splendid Living has come out and won again since. He shares top weight and must also be strongly considered in this opening contest.
13:45 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 1200m

THE GOOD DEAL won his last start in good fashion. He is nicely weighted with apprentice Chung aboard and will have plenty of followers. DAY DAY RICH is better than his below par last effort. He finished runner-up behind the top selection in April and can go close if repeating that type of effort.
14:15 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1200m

LADY’S CHOICE should find a good position from gate 3. He got up to win by the narrowest of margins last time and it is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride. MARVEL DRAGON finished 2.2 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
14:45 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1400m

UNPRESUMING was a beaten favorite when 1.8 lengths behind ALL IS GOOD. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough to turn the tables. The Doug Whyte trained KING OF THE COURT produced an eye-catching comeback run. He will strip a fitter horse and can challenge the top selection.
15:15 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1400m

JUNE PLANET has placed in his last two starts. He is nicely handicapped in this contest and a win looks to be on the horizon. SIMPLE HEDGE found support last time when no match for Yellowfin. He is lightly raced and improving with each outing. YOUNG HORIZON was beaten 2.2 lengths by All Is Good in his last start and it will be interesting to see if the form line is done any favors in Race 4.
15:45 – Race 6 | Class 3 | 1200m

EXCELLENT FIGHTER challenged strongly all the way to the line when beaten a neck by PULSAR STRIDER. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. PULSAR STRIDER is in search of a hat-trick of wins. STREET SCREAM takes a drop-in class and it will be no surprise to see him in the winner’s enclosure.
16:15 – Race 7 | Class 3 | 1600m
Selections: 7/5/3
LEADING FORTUNE finished in-front of NICHOLSON RETURNS in his penultimate start. All seven of his victories have come on this course and he is the narrow first selection in a competitive field. BEAUTY MISSILE was just beaten by Secret Vision in heavy conditions last time. Hugh Bowman has kept faith in the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
16:50 – Race 8 | Class 2 | 1400m

FLAMING RABBIT was touched off by SAUVESTRE last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE is loaded with ability. He has only had the one start on this course when beaten half a length by Victor The Winner. If putting his best foot forward he should be able to make his presence felt in the lucky last!
