SECOND TO NONE has consistent form to his credit. He has cracked pole position and should give another good account of himself. SKY HEART just held on to win his last start. He merits respect with top weight to shoulder and the only concern is the wide draw.

LIFELINE EXPRESS is nicely handicapped and the booking of Ryan Moore to ride is a big plus. He looks ready to win. LUCKY PLANET finished a couple of lengths behind the winner in his last start. He comes in with a handy galloping weight and can go one better.

STARSHIP EIGHTY followed up his recent win well when beaten just under a length behind the winner. He is likely to settle of the pace and will be mowing down the frontrunners. BEER PALACE finished second under Luke Ferraris last time and can give the top selection a good run for his money.

The grey TORONADO PHANTOM finished 1.5 lengths behind PRAWNS ELEVEN last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. MY FLYING ANGEL was cramped for galloping room in his last start and can feature with better luck in running.

ARIEL is nicely weighted with apprentice Wong aboard. He hasn’t finished too far off the winner in recent outings. SKY TRUST is lightly raced and it will be no surprise to see him pop up and win a race of this nature. SPICY GOLD is next best.
10:15 – Race 7 | BMW Hong Kong Derby | 2000m

HELIOS EXPRESS recently won the Hong Kong Classic Cup. He is in a rich vein of form and is going for four wins in a row. ENSUED finished 2.75 lengths behind the top selection in the race mentioned above. The pair face-off on identical weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result.
10:55 – Race 8 | Class 1 | 1200m

HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE won well in his last start and a repeat of that effort should see him finish in the money. INVINCIBLE SAGE finished a couple of lengths behind NERVOUS WITNESS last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line.
11:30 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1800m

PACKING HURRICANE was an impressive winner last time. The manner in which he drew off at the finish suggests he can make it quick back-to-back wins. SWEET ENCOUNTER finished in front of CP BRAVE in a race won by Happy Together. He could be one to fill the exacta spot.

PATCH OF THETA was given a peach of a ride to win his last outing. He is a progressive type and will have plenty of followers. Zac Purton has interestingly opted to ride GREEN N WHITE over MAGNIFICENT NINE. The combination merit healthy respect in the lucky last!
