The latter has forged a good partnership with Strydom and he should still be a lively threat despite his record over this trip indicating otherwise.

The high quality filly GREEN PLAINS again impressed with her smashing turn of foot as she beat WRECKING BALL (1.5kgs worse off) comfortably over this distance on her seasonal debut last month. The Tarry inmate is still improving and she will strip fitter tonight. The latter flopped in a subsequent listed event in mixed company but is of course now facing her own sex and she could be a force with top rider Gavin Lerena engaged.
