FRENCH LEGEND reached a competitive merit rating and it showed after she stayed on strongly for 2nd behind her classy stablemate Heaps Of Fun late last year. She had subsequent winner Alileo more than one length adrift and holds today’s rival SHIVERING SEA safe on that performance.

Of course there was merit in the performance as her jockey’s saddle slipped. The bay filly could really benefit from blinkers today and she may prove to be better than rated.
