FANCY DANCER almost produced a huge shock when she finished strongly for a close 2nd on debut on Heritage Day over this c & d. She may have caught her trainer by surprise but has obvious ability and will definitely benefit from the experience. She now gets the services of Gavin Lerena and can build on that run.
Race 5: PROSPECTUS(11)
Jockey: Marwing Weichong – Trainer: Ferraris O A
This is a competitive start to the jackpot and with some fair form runners in the line-up, an exciting finish is expected. PROSPECTUS was fancied but he unfortunately messed up the start on his debut over seven furlongs on this track, two weeks ago. Still, the well-related gelding made steady progress to finish 4th, beaten just over three lengths at the line. The Ormond Ferraris inmate finished just over one length behind ROVING JET but has plenty more to offer and should relish this extra furlong. He has bright claims if jumping on terms.

Jockey: Marwing Weichong – Trainer: Ferreira S M
BAR DOT ACCENT has a good c & d record and his two post maiden runs have been really pleasing. In fact he surprised a few when he finished strongly for a close 2nd over this c & d, two weeks ago. He has the beating of a few of today’s rivals on that performance and still has more improvement to come.

Race 10: NEW PREDATOR(11)
NEW PREDATOR attracted tons of betting support when he produced a smashing debut behind another highly rated sort. The Australian import finished strongly for a close 2nd and he was in turn just under six lengths clear of the 3rd placed finisher. That experience would have brought him on appreciably and he will have plenty of progress to come.

Race 6: DOUBLE BIND(14)
Jockey: Danielson R – Trainer: Matchett P F
DOUBLE BIND’s recent sand form is best ignored and he enjoys this c & d. He should have gone much closer if given a stronger ride in his penultimate outing and today’s top jockey could make all the difference. The six-year old gelding represents an in-form yard and should be competitive.
