ROULETTE

Named after the French word for Little Wheel, Roulette is a staple across brick and mortar casinos across the world. The game requires players to place their bets on either a single number, groups of numbers, red or black and many more.

Hollywoodbets offers a huge variety of Roulette games, from the electrifying gameshow feel of Lightning Roulette to more traditional forms of of the game. Minimum bets at these tables can be as low as R1 with some tables allowing punters to bet as much as R100 000 a spin.

Below we take a look at the variants of Roulette offered by Hollywoodbets: Lightning Roulette, Traditional Roulette and Double Ball Roulette.

Lightning Roulette is an exciting game which places an interesting spin on the more traditional-style roulette games. Each game round will see lightning strike up to five numbers, enabling a multiplier bonus from 50x up to 500x. All of the traditional Inside, Outside and Neighbour bets are available on this game. The wheel includes the numbers 1 through 36 as well as a single 0.

No frills, no fuss! We have a number of Roulette games follow the more traditional game format that players would have become familiar with in land-based institutions. Here you can bet on Inside, Outside and Neighbour bets. The wheel is made of 37 segments including 1 through 36 as well as a green 0 segment.

Like traditional roulette, but with two balls. Here, two balls are released into the wheel. They both travel in the same direction and at the same speed, with one ball always trailing the other. The balls are released shortly after the allotted time for betting expires. These balls can land in the same or in different segments of the wheel. The traditional wheel is used for this game which contains number 1 through 36 as well as an additional green 0 segment.

BLACKJACK

An absolute classic, Blackjack at Hollywoodbets offers players an interactive experience with live dealers. Simply put, the objective of the game is to have a higher card count than that of the dealer without exceeding 21. The game is played with eight standard 52-card decks. The card values work as follows: 2 to 10 are worth their face value. Face cards (Kings, Queens and Jacks) are all worth 10. Aces are worth either 1 or 11 depending on which is more favourable to the current hand.

There are just under 40 different Blackjack tables available with Hollywoodbets, with minimum bets ranging from R5 right the way through to R15 000.

GAMESHOWS

Hollywoodbets offers seven different game shows as part of our Evolution, Authentic, and Ezugi offering.

Crazy Time is a thrilling new game show which is based on the popular money wheel format. The wheel is divided into 54 segments and is spun by a presenter with the aim of the game being to predict which segment the wheel will stop at after coming to a rest. Crazy Time also features a number of multipliers and four different bonus games!

To play, place a bet on the segment you think the wheel will stop at. You can select the number segments: 1, 2, 5 and 10 or one of the four bonus games – Cash Unt, Pachinko, Coin Flip and Crazy Time.

Lightning dice is a fast-paced, easy-to-understand game. Simply place a bet on any card labelled 3 through 18: these numbers correspond to the total indicated by the three dice which are in play. After all bets are placed, lightning will randomly strike one or several cards, each of which is given a multiplier. The dice are then rolled through the “Lightning Tower”.

Once these dice come to a rest, the three face-up numbers are added together. If you correctly predict this number and have had a bet, you will win an amount which corresponds to that number. These are indicated below the number on the cards (150x = 150/1, 15x = 15/1) etc. If the number you have selected happens to be one of the round’s lightning numbers, your payout will be multiplied accordingly.

Deal or No Deal is a game inspired by the hit television game show of the same name. The objective of the game is to predict whether the amount of money in any of the last of 16 cases in total will be higher than that of the banker’s offer.

To get access to the game show, you have to qualify first. The qualification round involves a wheel consisting of three rings. Some of the segments on each of these rings are gold in colour. To qualify, place a bet and spin the wheel so that the gold segments align on the upper sector of the wheel. Each spin will cost your selected bet amount.

During the game show, the banker will open briefcases revealing the number which corresponds to the case that is no longer active in the game. The banker will then make the Deal or No Deal offers to you. Four offers will be made in total. You can either choose to accept the banker’s offer or continue playing in the hopes of winning a larger amount than what the banker is offering.

Dream Catcher is a straight-forward wheel game. A presenter spins a wheel which is divided into 54 segments, each marked with a number: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 40 with each numerical value having a unique colour. The other two segments on the board are a 2x and 7x multiplier. These act as bonus spins and multiply your next win. To play, simply place a bet on the number you think that the wheel will stop at. Should your bet win, you will be paid out according to the number that you chose. 1 = 1/1, 5 = 5/1, 40 = 40/1 etc.

Should the wheel stop in the 2x or 7x multiplier segment, all bets remain in play and no new bets will be allowed. The wheel will then be spun again with winning bets multiplied twice or seven times depending on which multiplier is active.

This is yet another simple, fast-paced game available from Evolution games. It works similarly to the Baccarat Game Dragon Tiger, which also forms part of the Evolution offering.

In football Studio, the player will have to guess which hand – Home or Away – will draw the higher value card and win. Players can also select “Draw” if they believe that the cards will be of equal value.

Mega Ball offers players a unique and entertaining game show experience featuring a Mega Ball  bonus round in which players have the chance to win even more with massive multipliers.

Players need to purchase a pack of cards to play with – remember to select the stake associated with the card pack you purchase for the round. The objective of the game is to complete lines of numbers on your card(s) while the balls are randomly drawn from the drum. The more lines you complete, the more players can win.

POKER GAMES

Hollywoodbets offers a number of exciting Poker Games through Evolution and Ezugi. There are several variants offered, like the popular Texas Hold ‘Em games.

Hollywoodbets offers a wide variety of different Hold’em tables for punters to play.

Generally speaking, all of the Texas Hold’em variants will see the player play against the house instead of against other players, and there is no bet after the River card is drawn.

In terms of winning hands, the individual cards are ranked in descending order with Ace being the highest-ranked card and 2 being the lowest rank. Remember that an Ace can be the highest value card in a Straight of A, K, Q, J 10 or the lowest value card in a Straight of 5, 4, 3, 2, A.

Below we take a look at the highest payouts to the lowest:

  • Royal Flush (this is a Straight Flush that contains the Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10 all in the same suit. In the case of a tie, the player gets their initial bet back and the outcome of the games is a PUSH.
  • Straight Flush (This hand contains five cards in sequence, all of which are of the same suit. Two straight flushes are ranked by comparing the highest-ranking card of each.
  • Four of a Kind (This hand contains all four cards of one rank plus another card of a different rank. In the event that there is a tie, quads with higher-ranking cards defeat those with lower-ranking cards. In the event that the quads are of equal rank, the fifth card (the Kicker) is used to break the tie.
  • Full House (This is a hand that contains three matching cards of the same rank along with two cards of another rank. If there are two Full House hands, then the hand with the higher ranking three cards wins. In the event that these three cards are the same, then the hand with the higher ranking two cards will win.
  • Flush: This is a hand where all five cards are of the same suit but are not sequential. Two flushes will be compared to one another as if they are High Cards.
  • Straight: This is a hand that contains five cards of sequential rank in at least two different suits. Two Straights are ranked comparing the highest card in each hand.
  • Three of a Kind: This hand contains three cards of the same rank, plus two cards that are not of this rank or the same as each other. Higher valued Three of a Kind will beat out a lower valued hand.
  • Two Pairs: As the name suggests, this hand contains two cards of the same rank as well as another two cards of another rank. The higher-ranking pair in two of these hands will determine the winner. If these are the same, then the second pair is compared. If the hands are still tied, then the highest value Kicker determines the winner.
  • Pair: This hand contains two cards of one rank and three cards that are not of this rank nor the same as each other. This is the lowest hand that you can be paid out for. Higher ranking pairs win out against lower-ranking pairs.
  • High Card: This hand is made up of any combination of cards which fails to meet the above requirements. Basically speakings, no hand is made, and the only thing of any value is the highest card in the player’s hand. If two hands have the same High Card, then the other cards are compared in descending order to determine the winner.

Three Card Poker is a fun, simple fast-paced game where the goal is to beat the presenter with a better three-card hand. The game is played with a standard 52-card deck. Some things to note: a three-card straight is of a higher value than a three-card flush in this game. This is down to the fact that there are fewer ways to make a three-card straight than a three-card flush.

Individual cards are ranked in descending order – Ace (high or low) right the way down to 20. The Ace can be the highest value card in a Straight of a A, K, Q or the lowest value card in a straight of 3, 2 A.

In the event that the player and the presenter have the same types of hands, the one that includes the card of the highest value will be the winner. When you and the dealer tie, the next highest card that is not part of the winning hand (known as the “Kicker”) will determine the winner.

The winning hands for three-card poker as follows:

  • Mini Royal (Ace, King, Queen)
  • Straight Flush (A hand that contains three cards in sequence, all of the same suit)
  • Three of a Kind (Hand that contains three cards of the same rank. An example of this would be a player with three Kings in their hand. Remember that higher-valued Three of a Kind hands defeat lower-valued hands.
  • Straight (This hand contains three cards in sequential rank consisting of two different suits. Two straights are ranked depending on the highest value card of each.)
  • Flush (This is a hand where all three cards are of the same suit but not in sequence)
  • Pair (This is a hand that contains two cards of one rank and another card of a different rank. Higher ranking pairs win out over lower-ranking pairs. If two hands have the same pair, the Kickers are compared in descending order to determine the winner.)
  • High Card (High Card is a hand made of any three cards that do not meet any of the above requirements. In essence, no hand is made and the only thing that really matters is the highest-ranking card in the player’s hand.)

Winning hands for a six-card bonus:

  • Royal Flush (This hand contains an Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10 all of the same suit)
  • Straight Flush (This hand is made up of five cards in sequence, all of the same suit)
  • Full House (This contains three matching cards of one rank and two matching cards of another)
  • Flush (This hand contains five cards that are all of the same suit but are not sequential)
  • Straight (This is a hand that contains five cards of sequential rank in at least two different suits.
  • Three of a Kind (This is a hand that contains three cards of the same rank as well as two cards that are not of this rank or the same as each other.)

Baccarat Games

This exciting game of chance is played with three traditional dice (face values of 1 to 6), which are shaken in a dice shaker. The objective is to use the playing board to predict the outcome of the dice roll. There are a number of bet types available including Small/Big, Doubles, Triples and many, many more.

Dragon Tiger is a fast-paced, easy-to-understand card game! The objective is to guess whether the Dragon or the Tiger will draw the higher value card. Only one card is drawn for each, with players allowed to place bets on the Dragon, the Tiger or the tie. It’s worth noting that cards are dealt from a box containing eight decks with jokers excluded.
