Tendai ‘The Beast’ Mtawarira’s 100th Springbok Cap
In 2018 Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira reached an incredible milestone for a tight forward, earning his 100th Test appearance for South Africa against England in Bloemfontein.  This made him only the sixth Springbok to achieve the feat and the first black rugby player to have reached the milestone.

Kaunda and his regal commentary marked this historic moment:

Siya Kolisi’s Debut as Captain
We cannot leave out Siya Kolisi’s debut as Captain in 2018 when Amabhokobhoko claimed a thrilling win against England at the spiritual homeland of South African rugby, Ellis Park. While this match featured 10 tires in what was a thrilling 42-39 win for South Africa, who trailed 24-3 early on, the game is most commonly remembered for a rousing piece of commentary by Kaunda as Kolisi led the Boks out of the tunnel for the first time as captain.

Listen to this spine-tingling commentary below:

The 2019 World Cup Final
Kaunda was at his majestic best in Yokohama as the Springboks claimed their third World Cup. The basis for this success came was the Springboks’ domination at scrum time, winning numerous penalties throughout the game. However, it was a slick blindside move midway through the second half that gave rise to arguably Kaunda’s most famous line: “Liqashu, YiBubbly, Shampompo, Shampizi!” as Lukhanyo Am and Makazole Mapimpi combined with the latter scoring South Africa’s first try in a World Cup final.

Check out all of the best bits from the final, as told by Kaunda below:
