Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Gets no deal in Europe

Soccer Players celebrate a goal

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon will not be offered a contract to play for Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership next season.

Moon has been on trial with the outfit from Edinburgh after being released by the Glamour Boys at the end of 2018/19.

The forward did not enjoy a successful spell with Chiefs and departed after his three-year contract came to an end.

Nonetheless, he had been hoping to win a deal with Hibs however it seems he has not done enough to earn a professional contract.

According to Edinburghlive.co.uk, coach Paul Heckingbottom has no interest in his services and his future remains up in the air.

Moon did score a goal in a practice match during a 3-2 defeat to Arbroath but it was not enough to impress Heckingbottom and his technical team.

The 22-year-old could now return to South Africa and potentially re-join Maritzburg United, though he would have to take reduced financial terms as was earlier confirmed by United chairman Farook Kadodia.
