Italian Serie A: Gameweek 21 Preview

It promises to be another mouth-watering weekend in the Serie A with things getting tight at the top and the bottom. Juventus and Roma headline the weekend’s round of fixtures, while AC Milan and Inter Milan will want to keep their momentum going at the top of the table when they face off against Crotone and Fiorentina respectively. Let’s get straight to it!

Fiorentina 46/10

Draw 31/10

Inter Milan 11/20 (21:45)

Fiorentina host Inter Milan in the first match of the weekend. The hosts come into this after a disappointing draw to struggling Torino. Inter come into this at the back of a dominant home performance against midtable Benevento which saw them run away 4-0 winners. With Inter 10 places above them on the table, they should be able to win this quite comfortably. The away win should be added to all multiples.

Saturday 6 February

Sassuolo 17/20

Draw 28/10

Spezia 29/10 (16:00)

Sassuolo welcome Spezia on Saturday as eighth take on 16th. Both teams come into this with poor form, with Sassuolo without a win in their last five and Spezia their last three. With both teams wanting to be get back to winning ways, Both Teams to Score is the selection at 11/20.

Atalanta 3/10

Draw 42/10

Torino 66/10

Atalanta weren’t their usual selves when they took on Lazio last time out, going down 3-1 at home which saw them drop down to seventh on the table. They face a Torino team 21 points behind them in 17th. With Torino without a win in their last six games and with Atalanta wanting to bounce back to best form, the home team is the strong selection.

Juventus 15/20

Draw 3/1

Roma 32/10 (19:00)

After losing 2-0 to Inter Milan, Juventus have since won their last four games quite convincingly. They face a Roma side who have won their last two games on the bounce at home. With Juventus having such a good home record and Roma’s away form not as good as their home form, the hosts should prove to be too good here.

Genoa 4/1

Draw 29/10

Napoli 13/20 (21:45)

The hosts were impressive in their last game as they dismantled bottom-of-the-table Crotone. They face a different type of opposition as the boys from Naples are in a good run of form, winning their last two on the bounce. With Napoli aiming for bigger things this season, the willingness to win should be much higher and they should prove to be too good here.  The away team should be added to all multiples.

Sunday 7 February

Benevento 19/10

Draw 23/10

Sampdoria 29/20 (13:30)

It’s a midtable clash as Benevento take on Sampdoria. The hosts are winless in their last four games and they come into this after receiving a thrashing away at Inter Milan. They face a Sampdoria side that went down 2-0 to Juventus in their last encounter. Prior to that, they did win two on the bounce. It’s been a while since the home team tasted victory, hence the reason the away side should just be able to edge it. I’m going for the away team to Win and Both Teams to Score at 7/2.

AC Milan 2/10

Draw 52/10

Crotone 10/1 (16:00)

It’s a ‘David verse Goliath’ encounter as first takes on last. This should be a tough task for the away team as they only have accumulated two points away from home all season. And with the home team looking to extend their lead, they should put up another professional showing and blow Crotone away. Add the hosts into all multiples.

Udinese 14/10

Draw 2/1

Hellas Verona 21/10 (16:00)

After nine games, Udinese finally managed to win a game. They won their last encounter 1-0 away from home to Spezia. The away side come into this after losing away from home to Roma. It does look the toughest game of the weekend to call and I can’t split them. I’m tipping the draw.

Parma 23/10

Draw 22/10

Bologna 12/10 (19:00)

The hosts Parma are without a win in their last 12 games. They face a Bologna team who only have one win in their last 11 encounters. It looks to be a must-win encounter for both teams here, but I feel the away side should just be able to edge it. The away team look to be a bit of value here.

Lazio 7/20

Draw 4/1

Cagiliari 62/10 (21:45)

Lazio has won their last five league games. They face a Cagliari team who haven’t won in their last 12 league games. With the home team in such good form, this does really look like ‘mission impossible’ for the away side. The home team is the strong selection.

TREBLE TIPPED @ 5/1

Juventus Win 15/20

Napoli Win 13/20

Bologna 12/10
