Ndlovu has only made five appearances for the Buccaneers this season and has struggled to make an impact since joining from Maritzburg United in 2019.

Manqana, who is now retired, faced a similar situation during his career when he joined the Soweto giants after starring for Golden Arrows in the 2011/12 season.

In quotes published on the Soccer Laduma website, Manqana said: “It painful to see what is happening to Sphesihle Ndlovu, things in Gauteng can be tough and mentally it can really affect you.

“For me, I think he should ask for a loan move, to restart his career, he is very talented and should be playing in the Bafana Bafana setup because at his best he can play anywhere”

Manqana then suggested that Ndlovu should move to another but not back to Maritzburg as he needs a fresh start.

“I can’t really say he can go back to Maritzburg United because mentally, he won’t be effective, if he gets a loan, I would suggest that he find a new club for a fresh start,” said Manqana.
