The Buccaneers have scored nine goals in their last two games, conceding just two in the process and they will understandably be feeling confident as they head to the coast to face Chippa who have yet to win a game this season. Indeed, The Chilli Boys have yet to score a goal in the league with both their results to date being 0-0 draws.

Speaking ahead of the game Riveiro told IOL: “We know every away game is difficult.

“We expect the Buccaneers to come out in numbers and support us like they did in the last away game in Gqeberha.

“It will be a difficult game as usual for Pirates. We are going to find a team that’s extra motivated to play Pirates at home.

“They are going to play to their possibilities.”

He went on to caution that the difference between an outstanding performance and an average one was a very fine line. “In the end, it doesn’t matter if we play like this (The 5-0 MTN8 win over Sekhukune) and we go to Gqeberha and we are too far from this level.

“I am not saying that we must replicate this level every time, but the point I’m making is that our worst game is not too far from our best game.

“However, if we manage to be at our best form on the day, then we are much closer to winning games because they are a good team as well,” he said.
