Sekhukhune host the Sea Robbers at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday at 17:45.

The hosts head into Saturday’s clash as the best-performing team in the league over the last five games where they’ve recorded four victories and a draw.

The only other unbeaten sides in the league in the last five games are the unassailable log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and fourth-placed Stellenbosch FC.

Sundowns and Stellies have managed two victories each and three draws.

The sixth-placed Sekhukhune have shown significant improvements under coach Lehlohonolo Seema.

They’ve scored an impressive 10 league goals while they let in just three.

While Seema is chuffed with the progress of the team, he has warned against any form of complacency that might creep in.

“We are not saying that we have arrived, we know that we have been unbeaten in the last five games but that is nothing because we are still in a position where we want to improve,” Seema said.

“If you look at the margins between the teams in the league, if you lose one point or two, you quickly find yourself down there (on the log table).

“So, we are not even looking at whether we are a team on form or that we want to match Orlando Pirates and take them on.”

Employing a cautious approach doesn’t mean Seema’s charges will sit back and allow Pirates to dictate the matters.

“We are looking for maximum points because we are playing at home and want to make sure that we finish as high as possible in the league,” Seema said.

“The game is going to be very difficult, however, we are playing at home, and we are not looking to sit back and absorb the pressure.”

Seema will be hoping that star player Elias Mokwana continue his great form of vein that was on display during his time with Bafana Bafana.

The second-placed Pirates will be aiming to build on their impressive 3-2 victory over rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the league.

Pirates have struggled for consistency, and they know as soon as they fix that, Caf Champions League qualifying will be achieved.
