The match at the popular venue in Johannesburg will kick off at 19:30.

The mighty Amakhosi are currently going through a rough patch, with just a single victory in their last five league outings.

They’ve failed to win a match in their last two outings where they lost 3-2 to Orlando Pirates and drew 0-0 with Cape Town City on Saturday.

The recent uninspiring run of results has dented their chances of ending the campaign in the second spot and qualifying for the Caf Champions League.

Chiefs remain in position seven on the log table with a disappointing 30 points from 21 outings.

They are five points behind the second-placed Stellies and a win against the Cape Winelands side will give a boost to the mission.

But Stellies will be a tough nut to crack for Amakhosi as the Steve Barker-coached team are one of the best-performing sides in the league and 19 in all competitions this season.

The Maroons have gone for 12 matches in the league without a defeat. They recorded eight victories and four draws in the process.

At the weekend, Stellies brushed aside Royal AM by 3-0.

Chiefs defender Given Msimango is wary of the threats posed by Barker’s men who are oozing confidence.

“Playing against a Stellenbosch team, their confidence is up in the team, which is well coached by Steve Barker and his technical team, credit to them,” said Msimango in the Sowetan.

“They are a team that can cause any problem for anyone, so we are very aware of the threat they pose. We’ve watched their games, we analysed them and I think we are prepared properly.

“So, it’s up to us on the day to put in the effort because we can talk tactics all day but when it is time to put in the practical application on the field that’s where it counts the most.

“I think the coaches have prepared us well for that and we are looking forward to the game on Tuesday.”

Chiefs are set to welcome back Yusuf Maart and Edson Castillo, who were both suspended for the clash against the Citizens.
