Dube Birds survive relegation scare
Swallows FC defeated Tuks 1-0 at the Moripe Stadium to secure their DStv Premiership status for the 2022/23 season.
Swallows had a difficult 2021/22 season, where they finished 15th on the log and were given a lifeline to contest rounds of playoffs matches against teams that finished second and third in the Glad Africa Championship.

Tuks came into this game needing just a point to secure promotion but it was not to be when Swallows’ goal came through an unlikely scorer, Yagan Sasman, in the second half of the game.
The goal meant Tuks needed to throw everything forward in search of an equaliser but the Swallows defense stood firm.
At the end of the 90, there were tears of joy in the Swallows camp from President Panyaza Lesufi to the chairman, David Mogashoa to coach, Dylan Kerr and down to the players.
Dylan Kerr does it again! 👌
