The Sharks will host the Blue Bulls in Durban this weekend in the crucial Currie Cup semi-final clash.

The Bulls will look to spoil the party and play on the momentum set by Western Province's bonus point win at the Shark Tank the week prior.

John Mitchell's Bulls brushed aside the Pumas to claim a fourth-place finish on 32 points. Springbok hopeful, Warrick Gelant starred as the Pretoria outfit won convincingly, the Sharks have a challenge on their hands as the Bulls looked like a different side from the start of the tournament, playing a more free-flowing game.

The Bulls have scored a whopping 64 tries from their 12 matches, the Sharks have scored 49. But the Durban side has conceded the fewest points with 229 with the Bulls leaking 442.

Western Province secured a home semi-final after winning in Durban, 31 - 20. Robert du Preez junior scored twice to set up the victory for Western Province, finishing the game on 21 individual points.

The Lions ended the Cheetahs' campaign after a Courtnall Skosan brace saw the Gauteng side cruise to a 44 - 17 victory at the Emirates airline park. The Free Staters tried to salvage some pride but were outdone by the Lion's flair, they will turn their full focus onto the Pro 14.

It will be an interesting weekend which will be tight to call, we just have to have a vague idea of who will start. The last tie the Bulls travelled to Durban they lost in the pouring rain in a match which was stopped due to lightning. No showers are expected on Saturday so we will see more of a competition.
