Race 6.
PELTZER went from jump to wire to win a Group 2 event by half a length last time out over 1500M. He was not stopping in the closing stages that day and from gate six, he could be good enough to complete his double here. PRIME STAR renews his rivalry with the top choice, having finished second in the race mentioned above, but as the pair meet on the same weight terms today, that result may well be confirmed. It must however be pointed out that the latter took a bump down at the start before finishing strongly, suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to his liking. He has a slightly wider draw eight to negotiate, but may prove to be the biggest danger to the top pick. ELIZABEEL is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she overraced in the middle stages of her last outing over seven furlongs before ending up in third place. She steps up in trip, but from her handy gate two, she should give the males a good run for their money.

Race 7.
SWEET DEAL drops in distance after finishing nineth in her last outing over seven furlongs, 4.2L back from the winner. He was hampered at the 800M mark and then his jockey weighed in 0.5kgs overweight, so he should have finished closer to the winner as a result. ATHIRI goes for her hat-trick after winning her last two starts over this c&d, the latest by a head. He was making good late progress that day and although drawn in gate eight, he should be right up there when they hit the line. WANDABAA is seldom far off the action and had nothing go her way when finishing third last time out over seven furlongs, just over a length behind the winner. She was hampered shortly after the start and was then bumped at the 300M mark that day. Jumping from draw four, she should be included in all bets.

Race 8.
HILO has cracked pole position and has consistent form lines to his name, finishing third in his last start over six furlongs, a neck behind the victor. He has the blinkers re-fitted today and if this move proves successful, he could be the one that they all have to beat. EDISON has his hat-trick attempt here after winning his latest outing over 1500M by a length. He returns from a 15-week break but has had the benefit of two barrier trials, winning the latest of these. He gets a handy gate four and could emerge as the biggest threat to the former. OXFORD TYCOON showed solid improvement to win his last run over six furlongs when returning from a 21-week break. He will have to overcome draw nine, but he should be involved in the finish.

Race 9.
VEGAS JEWEL is a 4yr old filly taking on males. Although fifth is her last start over ten furlongs, she was just one length behind the winner, despite coming wide into the straight. She drops in distance, but has pulled draw three and should be right up there in the firing line. FORTRESS COMMAND on the other hand steps up in trip after winning his latest outing over seven furlongs by half a length when returning from a 24 week rest. He did not get the clearest of passages that day which makes the victory that much more encouraging. He is however faced with the widest draw of them all in gate seventeen, but he is likely to be doing his best work late. PETRONIUS is seldom too far off the winner and finished second in his last start over seven furlongs, just a half length off the victor. He has a slightly kinder gate thirteen and will have blinker re-fitted for today’s run. He should not be easily dismissed

Race 4.
KOONUNGA HILL has only had the three runs to date, finishing second twice and third in his last start over 1300M, just a neck behind the winner when returning from a 17 week break. He was only collared in the shadow of the post that day and from his handy draw two, the gelding is taken to be the value bet on the day’s card. COME IN SPINNER has cracked pole position. He was a tad disappointing when finishing sixth in his latest outing over 1350M after finishing second in his two prior runs. He will be looking to bounce back to his better form here. BECKFORD finished third in his last start over this trip, just under a length back from the winner. He is another one with a handy draw and should be considered for all bets.

Race 5.
Two 5yr old mares could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta, but the clear first pick goes to KATY'S DAUGHTER who tried to go from jump to wire before ending up in third place last time out over this six furlong trip, two lengths behind the winner. She was only run out of it very late that day and from her gate four, she could be the one to side with here. DOLLY SPARTAN stayed on well when finishing third in her last outing over six furlongs, a head adrift of the victor. She has an even better draw two and could emerge as the biggest threat to the top selection. FUJI FLYER made good late progress in his last start when finishing fifth over six furlongs. The gelding is sure to put his pole position to good use and should be involved in the finish.

Race 6.
MURLESS race wide and was hanging in the closing stages when finishing fourth last time out over 1625M, just over a length and a half back from the winner. He jumps from gate five and if keeping to a straight path home today, he should be right up there when they hit the wire. TOO HOT TO HOLD is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys and had to shift out at the 200M mark before finishing second in her last start over this c&d, 3.3L behind the winner. She jumps from draw three and with better luck in running, she must be viewed as a big runner here. TABARD was making good late progress when sixth in his latest outing over 1500M, suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to his liking.

Race 7.
ASHZAYA has only had the three runs to date, finishing first, second and then third in her last start over this c&d, a half length back from the winner. She gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and will also have 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice to aid her cause. From gate two, she is made the best bet on the day. TRIP THE LIGHT hit the front at the 200M mark and then fought off all challengers to win her maiden race by three lengths last time out over five furlongs. She takes on stronger today, but has her peak run and looks to be the immediate threat to the top selection. BID IN A HURRY also won her maiden race last time out over 860M. She put four and a half lengths between herself and the second horse that day and should have little issue with the step up in trip.

Race 5.
HOOYAH finished fourth on debut over six furlongs, one length behind the winner when making good late progress, suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to his liking.  He raced wide that day and the form of that race has been franked. He would have learnt from that experience and from his handy draw two, he is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card. OUR COUSIN AL has only had the two runs to date, but showed the expected improvement to finish third last time out over 1250M, just over two lengths behind the winner. He did not get the clearest of passages that day and could emerge as the biggest danger to the top pick. EXCELLENCY stayed on well to finish eighth in his last outing over 1280M when returning from a 20 week absence. He is drawn one outside the top choice and should be involved in the finish.

Race 6.
LEISA LOUISE was hampered at the 200M mark before ending up in fifth place in her last start over six furlongs, 1.3L behind the winner. She was returning from a 24 week rest that day and with better luck in running today, she could be the one that they all have to beat, despite having to negotiate draw nine. HIT THE HIGH NOTE made good late progress to finish sixth in her last outing over six furlongs, but was just 2.8L back from the victor. She has a kinder gate four and should keep the former honest. DIVINE JEWEL came wide into the straight to finish fourth is her last run over seven furlongs, just over a length and a half behind the winner. She jumps from gate ten, but should nevertheless be included in all bets.

Race 7.
ZOUOLOGIST tried to make every post a winning post when finishing second in his last start over 1280M when returning from an 18 week absence. He is drawn wide in gate twelve, but given his style of racing, this may not be a big issue. SUPER hit the front as the field entered the home straight and then held of all challengers to win his last start by over five lengths when going the seven furlongs at this venue. He has gate three and looks the immediate threat to the former. GENERAL SOHO stayed on well when ending up fifth in his last outing over six furlongs and should be well suited to the extra ground of today’s contest. His draw five will do him no harm.

Race 8.
KOWLOON TREASURE has only had the three runs to date, finishing third, second and then winning his last start over seven furlongs by a head. He battled all the way down to the wire that day and is sure to appreciate the slight drop in trip. His gate two is a plus. SEA ECHO finished second in his last outing over six furlongs, just a neck back from the victor, despite being friendless in the betting markets. He faces draw eight, but has his peak run here. BERRUTI followed up his debut win over five furlongs with a fourth place finish over 1206M next time out, 3.1L behind the winner. He will have to overcome a wide gate thirteen, but should use his early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy.
