Mbappe Scores 4 Goals in 13 Minutes

Footballer stands on soccer ball

Kylian Mbappe scored four goals as PSG raced to an eight point lead up the French Ligue 1 standings.

Nabil Fekir limped off in the 7th minute for Lyon after he was clipped in a tackle. The mood changed for Lyon as that left Memphis Depay to hunt for goals.

Mbappe won a penalty which Neymar scored in the ninth sending the keeper the wrong way.

Things seemed to change for Thomas Tuchel’s side after Kimpembe was given his marching orders for roughing – but the referee, who had initially decided on a caution, changed his decision to a red card after further VAR review.

At the stroke of half-time Lyon suffered their own sending off as Tousary received his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

The second half got underway and we saw the floodgates open as Mbappe netted a hat-trick within 8 minutes – 61, 66, and 69. Scoring his fourth and final goal in the 74th.

PSG went on to close the match off at 5 – 0, Lyon will look to bounce back from this defeat when they host Nimes – while PSG will look to continue their fine form when they take on Amiens.
