LA MYST is holding her form and she adopted frontrunning tactics to good effect over this trip on the grass, four weeks ago. She tired late into 3rd that day and that formline could be worth following. The daughter of Lateral had one fair experience on today’s surface and she is a big contender with Muzi Yeni in the saddle.
Race 2: ICY AVALANCHE(1)
Jockey: Ryan MUNGER – Trainer: Grant PADDOCK
ICY AVALANCHE is a long-time maiden but the former Gauteng inmate showed a great affection for this surface on his local debut, three weeks ago. He found solid betting support that day and set the pace before being caught late over this c & d. He was in turn, just over two lengths ahead of the 3rd placed runner, MESSAGEINABOTTLE and that first local experience would have brought him on. He is 2kgs worse off with the latter but can still get that deserved first career victory.
Race 3: TIGER TIM(5)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON – Trainer: Tara LAING
TIGER TIM has come to hand since relocating and he produced his career best polytrack performance, two weeks ago. He ran on well for 2nd over 1300m that day and could enjoy the rise to the mile now. He was making steady late headway over this c & d three runs back but gets a top jockey in the saddle this time around.
Race 6: WICKED LASS(1)
The three-year-old WICKED LASS has been competing in stronger company at plate level and she is gradually dropping in the ratings. She enjoys the polytrack and made good late progress for a close 4th over six furlongs against male rivals, five weeks ago. She has a tough task with a big mass today but meets very ordinary rivals and has strong claims in this field. She should have no issues with the minimum trip.

ALL THE BIDS reverts to the polytrack after a below-par last grass effort. He produced two smart runs here prior to that, including a close 2nd over 1900m in his penultimate outing. The well tried four-year-old won his only start over this distance and though he won’t have things his own way in the presence of a few other natural frontrunners, he could suit Muzi Yeni’s riding style and certainly has the class to go close in this field.
