RACE 1

WINS ALL brings ultra-consistent form into this opening contest. He was only beaten by a long-neck last time out and will be looking to make amends. Also, it is encouraging that Purton has kept faith in the ride. DOLLAR REWARD was beaten just under a length last time out on this course. He is drawn wide but should still be able to pose a threat to the top selection. GALLANT LEGACY returns from a lengthy break. He will be nice and fresh for this outing and if fully fit, should make his presence felt.

RACE 2

NOBLE BOYZ is an unexposed sort who still has plenty of scope for improvement. He was beaten by four lengths on debut and with the natural improvement that is expected, could be serious upset potential. RED BRICK FIGHTER has finished runner-up in his last two outings. He shoulders only 50.5kgs and this looks like an ideal race for the son of Artie Schiller. VICTORY IN HAND stayed on nicely last time on this course and a repeat of that effort should see him run into the money.

RACE 3

VIVA MAMA was nabbed in the shadow of the post last time and will be looking to set the record straight. He is still yet to win a race although it won’t be long until those stats alter. READY CONQUEROR finished just behind the top selection last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result. FLYING MONKEY wasn’t disgraced when also just behind the top selection last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and should be right there at the business end.

RACE 4

PEAK TO PEAK is the best bet on the card. He showed good potential in his last start when narrowly beaten on this course and it won’t be long until he earns that elusive first victory. PLIKCLONE is already a two-time winner this season and rates a big danger with current champion jockey Purton in the saddle. HONEST WAY has finished third in his last two outings. He looks fairly-handicapped once again and can run into the money.

RACE 5

SAVAQUIN was a narrow winner of his last start but he will be looking to make it quick back-to-back triumphs. He beat a progressive type in the form of Royal Bomb and a repeat of that effort should see him in the winner’s enclosure again. GIFT OF LIFELINE was only beaten by just over a length last time. He won his penultimate start over this c&d and another bold effort is expected. BEAUTY SPARK finished 2.75 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and could be the one to cause an upset.

RACE 6

CHARITY FUN
finished strongly in his debut and is likely to relish the step up in distance. With the natural improvement that is expected, he will take a power of beating. VINCY produced a fair effort last time. He is drawn wide but likes to race off the pace and will be mowing down the frontrunners in the dash to the line. ENRICHMENT didn’t win in 2020 but he is never far off the winner. If overcoming the wide draw without using too much energy he can run into the money.

RACE 7

DREAM WARRIORS hit the final furlong last time with authority when going on to trounce his rivals. He raced two wide on that occasion and with better luck in running he should prove tough to beat. FAST PACE won his last start easier than the margin suggests. He was his own worst enemy as he hung in the final furlong. If keeping on a straight line he will be able to pose a threat to the top selection. MALDIVES moved up like a winner last time and unfortunately lost momentum at a crucial stage in the race. If things go his way this time around then he will be right there where it matters most.

RACE 8

SCORES OF FUN shoulders top weight but he brings some consistent form lines into this contest. He produced a moderate effort under Teetan on New Year’s Day but that run is arguably best ignored. JAZZ STEED moved up like a winner last time and was caught in the latter stages. He takes on stronger rivals but shoulders a handy galloping weight and must be respected. ARES has gone off the boil since his last win. He is a type that likes to dictate matters and if allowed to set his own tempo in-front, then he will be difficult to reel-in.

RACE 9

WIND N GRASS wasn’t disgraced last time out when beaten by a couple of lengths. He is a sort that likes to produce his run from off the pace and will be doing his best work in the latter stages. Also, he represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. IGNITING is interestingly not being partnered by Purton this time around but he will benefit from a 1kg claiming apprentice in the saddle. STANLEY PARK is the class in the race and performs better for apprentice Chau. He is much better than his below par last outing and can get back to winning ways in the lucky last.
