TUPELO HONEY has finished runner-up in her last two starts. She finished 1.7 lengths behind WISHFUL GIRL LINN in her penultimate effort and is 1.5kgs better off at the weights. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she can get back to winning ways.
Race 5: GURU’S PRIDE (5)
Jockey: Kennedy W – Trainer: Van Zyl G
GURU’S PRIDE caught the eye when running on to finish fifth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He loves this C&D with a record of two wins from three starts. The blinkers get removed for this outing and with Warren Kennedy back in the saddle, he should get back to winning ways.

QUATTRO PASSI makes his local debut and brings very good Gauteng form with him. He set the pace last time, but found one too good in the form of Eagle Alley. He should have his own way in front today and if suited to the polytrack, he should be hard to peg back.

She has won once and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. Raymond Danielson retains the ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
