SHADES OF BLU drops back to six furlongs after trying further in his last five outings, but he raced handy in his last start over seven furlongs and was only run out of it late. He hung in the closing stages of that race and was also reported to have made an abnormal respiratory noise. Given all that, he did well to finish as close to the winner as he did.

AMERICAN LANDING has finished second in his last two starts and will be looking to go one better here. His record of a win and a second place finish from two outings over the c&d speaks for itself. He is drawn the widest of them all, but he should be picking off the frontrunners in the dash down to the line.

ETERNAL HOPE won on debut and was considered good enough to be taken down to CT to contest a feature race on Sun Met day. She disappointed in that outing, but if over her travels, she should be competitive here. Stable jockey Greg Cheyne takes the ride again

Jockey: C Maujean – Trainer: Tara Laing
BEETHOVEN has his second run after a rest. He ran on strongly to win his comeback outing over six furlongs and on that effort, he should be right at home over seven furlongs. He jumps from gate two and his regular jockey Chase Maujean is back on board.

ONTENDERHOOKS has consistent form to her name and finished third in her only attempt over this c&d in her penultimate outing. ONESIE did beat her by 1.75L that day, but as she is 3.5kgs better off at today’s weights, she should be able to turn the tables on her conqueror.
