Race 1

Five of the twelve runners in this race make their debut, none of which have had a barrier trial and the betting should be the best guide as to their chances. Of the raced entrants, MASTER BARTHOLDI may prove to be the best. He was only narrowly beaten first time out over five furlongs and should have come on with the outing. ROSSARENO finished fourth on debut over five furlongs but does have a wide draw to deal with. LIONEL was 3.3L back when having his first run, but should have learned from the experience and could trouble the top two selections. RIVER TWAIN showed some improvement last time out over five furlongs but is also drawn wide. He may not have the same room for improvement as the first three selections though.

Race 2
This looks a tricky contest and some caution is advised. The value of the race could be ALL STARR COURAGE who showed marked improvement last time out when finishing second over this distance. He will be aided by jumping from pole position and if he can confirm that last effort, he should be right up there in the dash down to the line. GOLDEN EGG is a three-year-old filly taking on the boys, but she has only had the two runs to date and showed some improvement in her last outing over five furlongs. MONETIZING is another three-year-old filly who returns from a 23-week break and showed speed in her last start over 1100M. The shorter distance should be in her favor. DYNAMIC DUO has his first run after a 10-week rest. He has a wide draw to negotiate, but he should be doing his best work late.

Race 3
MASKED CRUSADER has his first run after an 18-week rest, but the manner in which he won his second outing over six furlongs suggest that he has more to offer. From pole position, he may prove to be the one that they all have to beat here. IDIDITFORLOVE has his hat-trick attempt and is drawn just two outside the former. He could pose the biggest threat to the top choice. DINGA won his last outing over this distance after two solid runs prior to that and should be involved in the finish here. KIATA is a three-year-old filly taking on males, but she showed speed when winning well on debut and should give the boys a good run for their money.

Race 4
LUNAKORN goes for his hat-trick here after reeling off two wins over six furlongs. He steps up in trip, but his latest victory was a tad easier than the official distance might suggest he looks to be hard to topple today. LITTLE MERMAID followed up his first time out win over six furlongs with an encouraging next effort over the same trip. He could be the biggest danger to the top choice. PERFECT WAR won his maiden race last time out over 1100M and should be considered. HINT OF MINT drops in trip after being a little disappointing last time out over seven furlongs and may do better as a result, jumping from pole position.

Race 5
Another difficult contest faces punters here. FAOLAN has not been far off the action is recent outings and has cracked pole position. The step-up in distance is sure to be to his liking. INTELLE is a four-year-old filly taking on the boys, but she was narrowly beaten last time out over this c&d and from her handy draw, she should be right up there in the mix. HAMSLETTE is also a four-year-old filly who stayed on well in her last outing over seven furlongs. She has a shocking draw to overcome, but she should not be easily dismissed in this line-up. EVENING GLORY made good late progress when returning from a 14-week break and if not in need of another run, he should be considered for all bets.

Race 6
MONMOUTH led from start to finish when winning his last outing over this trip and will be looking to complete the double here. He will, however, face strong opposition from a few runners, not least of which is YULONG CAPTAIN who made steady late progress when finishing fourth, but just 1.3L behind the winner last time out over this journey. DON’T MAKE ME WAIT has reeled off his trio of wins, the latest of which was over ten furlongs. The quartet of wins can’t be ruled out here. DIAMOND STAR HALO is a five-year-old mare taking on the boys, but she only just missed out on her hat-trick when beaten a neck last time out over 2700M. She takes a drop in distance here, but she should keep the males honest today.

Race 7
CAN’TFORGETYOU is a five-year-old mare taking on males and returns after a 20-week rest, but she has her hat-trick attempt here after posting two successive wins over five furlongs. She steps up in trip, but this should not be an issue starting from her handy draw. LEITER has consistent formlines to his credit. He too jumps up in trip, but he did finish second in his penultimate start over six furlongs and should have no issues with the extra ground. PRAVRO improved in his last outing over five furlongs and if he has continued along that same path, he should be right up there when they reach the wire. LUCKY FISH followed up his win over six furlongs three runs back with two solid subsequent efforts. He drops in trip, but should be respected here.

Race 8
VUNGERS has consistent formlines over this distance to his credit and from gate four, he looks to be the one to side with here. AUSSIE NUGGET could be his immediate danger after he finished a close up fifth over this distance last time out. CAPE RICHARDS put up an encouraging penultimate effort in his penultimate outing over the mile and a repeat of that run would get him involved in the finish today. GRINZINGER STAR has pulled pole position and steps up in trip, but he should be a big runner in this field if recapturing some of his better form.
