Neil Morrice: Dundalk Best Bets- Wednesday 16 December 2020

Neil Morrice Best Bets & Tips

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Wednesday’s racing taking place at Dundalk.

Race
1 No6 GREAT MIDGE (Nap)

Trainer:
Denis Hogan – Jockey: Paddy Harnett

GREAT
MIDGE attracted plenty of support when posting a frame finish in first time
blinkers over six furlongs here two weeks ago. His form on the Polytrack since
being equipped with various headgear has shown a marked improvement, and his
winning turn could be close at hand as he drops to the minimum distance.

Race
2 No4 QUAMINO (Each Way)

Trainer:
Paul Nolan – Jockey: L Roche

Hurdles
and chase winner QUAMINO ran well to trouble the judge on all-weather debut
here, getting the hang of things all too late behind Tower Of Pisa. The
seven-year-old should be wiser for that outing and will appreciate stepping up
to the longer (mile and a half) trip.

Race
3 No5 IRISH POSEIDON

Trainer:
Matthew Smith – Jockey: Sam Ewing

Two
from three since joining his trainer from Germany, IRISH POSEIDON needs to step
lively if he’s to get into the lead from gate 16, but last week’s course and
distance scorer is a hard horse to get past and has a good chance of
following-up, with the cheek pieces added that day now dispensed with.

Race
8 No11 TYNAMITE

Trainer:
David Marnane – Jockey: Oisin Orr

There’s
little doubt that TYNAMITE is on the up and up, judging from gradual
progression in his four outings since returning from a summer break. He
delivered when dropped to six furlongs last time but his form suggests he’s
just as effective over this seven.
