RACE 1
BELLA BABY backed
up favourite status last time out when defeating NOBLE DESIRE by a nose. He is 1kg better off at the weights and
could make it back-to-back wins in the opening contest. WINNER METHOD caught the eye in a barrier trial when showing plenty
of speed. He gets current champion jockey Purton in the irons and could be
anything.
RACE 2
The South African bred EZRA
found a form return last time on the All-Weather track. He was beaten under a
length on that occasion and if getting across from his wide draw without using
up too much energy, he can confirm his recent improvement. BUNDLE OF DELIGHT is the class in the race. He followed up his
recent win with a decent third-place finish and although he shoulders top
weight, he definitely has the ability to make his presence felt. FAMILY LEADER has placed in his last
two starts and with Moreira in the irons, he can run into the money once again.
RACE 3
FORTUNE MASTER
backed up favourite status last time. He drew clear last time over this
distance and the manner in which he finished off his race suggests that there
may be another one in the tank. MASTER
HERO is still relatively unexposed. He still has plenty of scope and with
the natural improvement that is expected, he can challenge the top selection. GOLDEN FOUR is much better than below-par recent form. Both wins have come on this course and he is capable of
finding a form return.
RACE 4
BELUGA is coming
along the right way. His form barring his 29 November effort is very
attractive. He has the early pace to overcome his wide barrier and represent
decent each-way value in this contest. FLAGSHIP
GLORY returns from a seventh-month break. He won his last two starts in
fine fashion and if returning fit, he can pose a threat to the top selection. SEA OF LIFE beat a talented type in
Triple last time. He gives the top selection 5kgs but a repeat of his
last effort should see him finish in the money.
RACE 5
STRONGER was
beaten by the narrowest of margins a Grade 3 event last time out. French ace
Piccone takes the ride and he will be looking to add another Grade 1 triumph to
his already impressive record. JOLLY
BANNER has good recent form barring his below-par penultimate effort. He
was only beaten by half a length in a Grade 1 last time and is proven in this
elite class of horses. BIG PARTY finished just behind the top
selection last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights should be enough to
turn the tables.
RACE 6
NATURAL STORM
followed up his recent win with two second-place finishes. He was only beaten
by a nose last time and will be looking to make up for that narrow defeat. He
is drawn wide but on form should take a power of beating. CLEMENT LEGEND has placed in his last two outings. His wide draw is
of no concern as he likes to produce a late dash from off the pace. ENTRUSTED finished strongly last time
on this course and it is encouraging that Hamelin has kept faith in the ride.
RACE 7
GOLDEN SIXTY is
arguably Hong Kong’s best miler. He is unbeaten in ten career starts and will
be looking to keep that record intact. At level weights, he should be difficult
to peg back in the closing stages. SOUTHERN
LEGEND finished a couple of lengths behind the top selection last time. He
is well drawn in gate 2 and can complete the exacta once again. RISE HIGH returns from just over a once
year break. He finished 0.6L behind the winner in a Grade 1 last time out and
if returning fit he can run into the money.
RACE 8
SKY DARCI found
one better when last time and will be looking to get back to winning ways. He
has a solid form at this course and also won his only attempt over this
distance. LUCKY PATCH is an
ultra-consistent sort. He steps up in class but is difficult to ignore after
his recent narrow defeat. ENRICH DELIGHT
won his last start well on this track defeating Ballistic King. He should enjoy
the step-up in distance and can find himself in the winner’s box.
RACE 9
TIANCHI MONSTER
finished just over a length behind FLYING
QUEST last time out. He is 2kgs better off at the weights which should be
enough to turn the tables. RELIABLE TEAM
faced stronger in a Grade 3 last time out. He looks fairly handicapped and must
have claims on his good penultimate run.
RACE 10
SIGHT SUCCESS is
the best bet in the lucky last. He found plenty support in both triumphs which
indicates that he is showing good work back at home. Both wins have come over
this distance and he will be looking to keep his unbeaten record intact. MASTER MONTARO ran a fair race behind
Sea Of Life last time. He was doing his best work late on that occasion and if
not too far out of his ground he can find himself in the winner’s enclosure. TRUST ME has placed in his last three
starts. He finished just over a length behind the second selection in his
penultimate start and is now 3.5kgs better off at the weights.
