She had a decent comeback run over this distance against male rivals on the polytrack recently and will strip fitter now.
Race 5: JUST SENSUAL(4)
Jockey: A MARCUS – Trainer: J RAMSDEN
The Dynasty filly JUST SENSUAL proved her class with a cracking comeback sprint behind the champion Carry On Alice on her local debut a fortnight ago and she will be fitter today. Of course she faces a huge task at the weights with some accomplished older rivals but will prefer this extra furlong and the bay filly deserves healthy respect. She has a midfield barrier on her track debut.

Jockey: A DELPECH – Trainer: J SNAITH
BLACK ARTHUR has suffered a few setbacks since his game effort in the July last term but he had a decent return to the province last month and will strip fitter today. He was gelded in the summer and could still be the yard’s main contender for the major Grade 1 at the beginning of next month. The son of Silvano hasn’t won for just over a year which is a worry but he is the horse to beat today.

Race 8: WILD WICKET(4)
The Duncan Howells stable holds a very strong hand in this minor feature run over a mile on handicap terms. A big field heads to post but in the absence of natural pacesetters, a sedate gallop is expect- ed and that won’t be an issue for the top selection WILD WICKET who is still improving. The three-year old gelding had an impressive and hard fought last c & d win after racing wide and the 3rd placed runner Flying Silver boosted the formline with a subsequent victory. This son of Dynasty goes well racing handy and he can avenge his defeat to SUMMER SKY over this distance.

MERYL made expected improvement when she fought back smartly to shed her maiden tag over this trip on the polytrack second time out. She takes on considerably stronger today but has lots of scope for further progress and the well drawn daughter of Tiger Ridge could be worth following.
