MEDIC ELITE is better than his moderate last start at Happy Valley. He has cracked a good barrier position and should be involved in the outcome of this opening contest. STAR OF GLORY comes in with a light weight and he can feature if getting across from the wide draw without using up too much energy.

SHARPEN BRIGHT quickened well to win his last start and it is encouraging that Karis Teetan has kept faith in the ride. WINNING STEPS finished 1.2 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line.
07:45 – Race 3 | Class 3 | 1200m

GRACIOUS EXPRESS showed promise in his first start in Hong Kong. He will relish the extra furlong on offer and should be one of the leading contenders. EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS has been racing well throughout the season and he should give another good account of himself. The South African-bred PARTERRE is next best.
08:15 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1400m

ARIEL moved up like a winner last time but was outrun late by Loyal Bo Bo. He has decent form lines to his credit and the only concern is the wide draw. SMILING COLLECTOR finished 1.3 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.
09:10 – Race 5 | Class 3 | 1200m

CHAMPION INSTINCT is in a rich vein of form and performs well with Andrea Atzeni in the saddle. He won his last start easily and goes for four wins on the trot. NORTHERN BEACHES was beaten a neck by Solid Impact last time and must be included in all bets. ENDEARED is next in line.
09:40 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

FULL CREDIT produced a good second-place finish last time when 1.2 lengths behind LIFELINE EXPRESS. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. HANDSOME BOMB produced a fair debut effort and would have strengthened up nicely during the break.
10:10 – Race 7 | Group 2 | 1200m

HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE was beaten the narrowest of margins by FLYING ACE last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights which should give him the edge this time around. LUCKY SWEYNESSE won this race last year. He is the class horse in the race however there are slight concerns about his well-being.
10:45 – Race 8 | Group 2 | 1600m

BEAUTY ETERNAL and RED LION both finished alongside one another in a Group 1 event last time. It must be noted that California Spangle has come out and won in Dubai since. NIMBLE NIMBUS has cracked a neat draw and it will be no surprise to see him finish in the placings.
11:20 – Race 9 | Class 4 | 1600m

CALIFORNIATOTALITY won his last start over this course and distance. He likes to race in a prominent position and will be looking to make it quick back-to-back wins. MISTER DAPPER finished 4.5 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
11:55 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 2000m
Selections: 3/6/11
ILLUMINOUS finished just under a length behind Frantanck last time. He should love the rise 2000m and will have plenty of followers in the lucky last. KIMBERLEY finished right behind INTREPID WINNER last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them at the wire.
