SMART FOLKS was beaten the narrowest of margins on the All Weather in his penultimate effort. He has cracked a neat draw and should be one of the leading contenders. LITTLE PLAYER produced some good runs on turf before the break and can have a say in this opening contest if returning fit.

SHINING FORTUNE didn’t have things go his way from a wide draw last time. He has cracked pole position and is difficult to ignore with Karis Teetan aboard. LUCKY BANNER won his penultimate start over this C&D. He is nicely handicapped and can give the top selection a good run for his money.

GOLD COMET was beaten a couple of lengths by EL VALIENTE last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. COLOURFUL BARON has placed in his last two starts. He is holding his condition well and another good run is expected with a top rider in the irons.
14:45 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1800m

The Millard-trained KEEN UNITY was beaten a neck over shorter last time. He steps up to nine furlongs and can feature if relishing the extra ground on offer. RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE finished just over three lengths behind AMAZING TEENS in his last start. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
15:15 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1200m

MAGIC SUPREME finished runner-up behind Shining Fortune and it will be intriguing to see if the form line is done any favours in race 2. The chestnut I GIVE found one better over this C&D in his penultimate start and will just need to repeat that effort to have a say in this line-up.
15:45 – Race 6 | Class 3 | 1200m

GUMMY GUMMY has finished second behind a nice sort in his last two outings. He was a beaten favourite in his last start and will be looking to make amends from an inside draw. The top-weight WINNING ICEY is the class package in the field. He has cracked pole position and must be included in all bets. LIGHTNING BOLT has run some decent races on this course. He looks held by the top selection but could be one to fill the trifecta spot.
16:15 – Race 7 | Class 3 | 1650m

ADEFILL followed up a hat-trick of wins with a good third-place finish behind the talented Youthful Deal. All three of his wins have been recorded on this course and this son of Deep Field looks one of the better bets on the card. ERIMO made a form return when runner-up on this surface and it is encouraging that Alex Badel has kept faith in the ride.
16:50 – Race 8 | Class 2 | 1650m

APACHE PASS is course-suited and the booking of Zac Purton to ride suggests he is fit enough to win. HANDSOME TWELVE will enjoy reverting to the All-Weather and on best form is a serious contender. BERLIN TANGO interestingly holds the track record over a mile and must also be strongly considered in the lucky last!
