UK Racing Best Bets – Tuesday 17 December 2019

Tuesday 17 December 2019

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips from UK Racing at Fakenham and Catterick on Tuesday 17 December 2019.

Fakenham Park Best Bets

Race 1: EVA’S DIVA (3)
Trainer: Phil Middleton
Jockey: Mr S Lee

Few mares deserve a change of luck more than EVA’S DIVA who when finishing second here two runs back had the misfortune to come across a handicap snip from the Pipe stable. She subsequently ran well when second to Little Rory Mac at Market Rasen and with her liking for this sharp course can belatedly open her account.

Race 3: VOLT FACE (4)
Trainer: Paul Webber
Jockey: Tom O’Brien

VOLT FACE is also finding it hard to get his head in front but gives every indication that should change soon. He’s returning from a lengthy absence but has certainly done enough work to figure. His latest effort at Uttoxeter was on vastly different going but he’s proven on soft and with his stable in form is worth chancing.

Race 5: SOARLIKEANEAGLE (5) (Each Way)
Trainer: Richard Rowe
Jockey: Leighton Aspell

Although he’s shown little worthwhile form to date, SOARLIKEANEAGLE can raise his game in this novices’ handicap chase. He’s also return8ng from a lengthy absence but has done well for his break. He’s worked and schooled well and is capable of getting into the money at a big price.

Catterick Best Bets

Race 2: ARTISTIC LANGUAGE (2)
Trainer: Dr Richard Newland
Jockey: Sam Twiston- Davies

ARTISTIC LANGUAGE ran into the smart Goobinator on his jumps debut at Wetherby but gave every impression that he will do well in this division by chasing home that rival. He looked to be going best early in the home straight and with the benefit of the outing behind him is now cherry ripe to score.

Race 7: SHOW PROMISE (9)
Trainer: Phil Kirby
Jockey: Tom Dowson

Taking on rivals that mainly bring Irish point form to the table, SHOW PROMISE has a fine chance to endorse the promise of her efforts in this grade last season when finishing second on her last two of three career starts. She handled testing ground when giving best to Marown on her final start at Newcastle and although off for eight months is ready for this.
