Austrian Bundesliga GW 24 Preview

Soccer ball

Hartberg caused a massive upset at 13/1 odds beating LASK 2-1 with a last-gasp effort from Dario Tadic in the 90th minute on Wednesday night. Now on to this week’s action where we hope we can find a few winning selections to add to our weekend multiples.

Saturday 6 June – Relegation round

Altach 17/20
Draw 26/10
Tirol 29/10
Altach continued their fight in the relegation round with a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Mattersburg. Tirol were thrashed 5-0 when they hosted St. Polten on Tuesday night. Altach are tipped to get back to winning ways, with their third straight win against the visitors at 17/20.

Admira 5/4
Draw 49/20
Mattersburg 19/10
Admira were edged 1-0 in a tightly-contested affair at Austria Wien and will have to pull up their socks. Mattersburg’s last three away games have seen both teams score and so has the last three meetings between these sides. Add Both Teams to Score (Yes) to your multiples at 13/20.

St. Polten 21/10
Draw 47/20
Austria Wien 12/10
St. Polten’s Jamaican-born forward Cory Burke was in top form bagging a hattrick in their 5-0 demolition last time out. Austria Wien 1-0 win over Admira stretched their impressive 10-game unbeaten streak (5 wins and five draws) in league competition. Four of the last six meetings between these sides have ended in stalemates with the visitors edging the other two. Have a punt on the draw at 47/20.

Sunday 7 June – Championship round

Hartberg 19/2
Draw 52/10
Salzburg 2/9
It would be a miracle if Hartberg could make it back-to-back wins when they host the reigning champions but I have a sneaky feeling that they just might as Salzburg have lost key players in the January transfer window despite their 2-0 win over Rapid last time out. If you’re brave take Hartberg + Draw in the Double Chance market at 28/10.

Wolfsberger 43/20
Draw 49/20
LASK 11/10
Wolfsberger come in the clash high with confidence off the back of a 2-1 win at fancied Sturm Graz. LASK will be aiming to get back to winning ways after being humiliated with the defeat to Hartberg. The visitors are a good bet at 11/10.

Rapid Wien 8/10
Draw 26/10
Sturm Graz 29/10
Rapid Wien will be hoping to beat the visiting Sturm Graz on home turf for the first time in six visits to the Allianz Stadion. Sturm Graz will be without Greek centre-half Anastasios Avlonitis who saw red in their defeat last time out. Take Rapid Wien to clinch victory at 8/10.

TREBLE TIPPED @ 6/1
Altach Win 17/20
LASK Win 11/10
Rapid Wien Win 8/10
