VUT knocked Absa Premiership team Golden Arrows out during the previous round, and Mosimane has warned players they will “get the shock of their lives” if they don’t take the lower division side seriously.

“We have been waiting for an opponent in the lower divisions and we finally got it,” Mosimane told the official Sundowns website.

“You need to be careful what you ask for because you will get the shock of your life.”

VUT are a fourth-tier team playing but will be full of confidence of reaching the quarter-finals even after they were drawn against South Africa’s reigning champions.

“The fact they eliminated Golden Arrows, a Premier League team, means they are a good team,” Mosimane added.

“We think we have got relief but we need to be careful.”

The Round of 16 matches will take place on the weekend of February 21 but the exact details of the eight fixtures are yet to be decided.
