After starting the campaign well, SuperSport are going through a rough patch in the DStv Premiership.

The men from Pretoria have failed to win a match in their last eight outings in the league.

SuperSport were once again not able to get back to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw by Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.

“If it’s not going for you, it’s not going for you,” said Hunt, whose side was reduced to 10-man after goalkeeper Ricardo Goss was sent off early in the first half.

“And it’s not going for us at the moment but I thought we deserved to win this match, especially at the end we had two great chances (to score).

“We deserved more than a draw even with 10 men (on the pitch), so it’s disappointing.

“It’s frustrating but what can we do? It’s football. It’s happening in every game.”

The poor run of the results has seen them fall behind their rivals in the race to finish in the second spot on the log table.

The last time Hunt’s men won a match in the league was when they stunned Orlando Pirates by 3-1 on December 23.

They’ve also been knocked out of the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals by Stellenbosch FC.

The Spartans have dropped to the fifth spot on the log table with 34 points from 23 outings in the league. They are five points behind second-placed Stellenbosch.

“We will finish well, we still have seven games left this season. We will still finish well, guaranteed,” Hunt assured.

“I think we are making progress every day. This is a tough league with physical sides and big, strong players. The side (City) we played against today is an experienced team.”

Hunt will hope to end the winless streak against the 10th Chippa United at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday at 20:00.
