We’re two games into the season and it is already starting to shape up like another difficult season ahead for the Chilli Boys. Coach Morgan Mammila will be scratching his head in search of an attacking combination that will get his side on the score sheet for the first time this season.

Their opening two games ended in goalless draws, but they will especially feel that they should have won in their last outing and in front of their fans against a very unconvincing TS Galaxy.

Of course, they have something to build on after a few promising moves and combinations against Galaxy, but this game will require the entire team to be in tune as they will attempt to frustrate Pirates who are expected to have more of the ball.

To Win Match
Chippa United 34/10 | Draw 39/20 | Orlando Pirates 17/20

The Sea Robbers did well to bounce back from their opening-day defeat against Stellenbosch and claim a comfortable 4-2 win over Royal AM last Tuesday. They then went on to score five unanswered goals against Sekhukhune United in the quarterfinals of the MTN8 in the weekend to further demonstrate their attacking prowess.

They come here as clear favourites and with the most goals scored so far – a huge advantage against a Chippa side who are misfiring this season and are yet to find the back of the net.

But Jose Riveiro will not approach this game with a light mindset after Stellies shocked them on opening day, instead I expect him to pick his strongest available 11 to get the job done in the early stages of the game.

Verdict: Pirates & Both Teams To Score (NO) – 15/10

Chippa United will have a very tough time defending Orlando Pirates’ attackers who just seem to getting better with each passing game. But breaching their defence and scoring could prove to be even harder and I cannot see them ending their goal drought against Pirates.
